  1. Good saws with good power, use ours with a 25 inch bar.
  2. watching it now looks good
  3. The bowl is a bit tougher to carve I start of going from side to side until you get the feel of it, after a while it gets easier to carve just dont try to cut out too much wood, take smaller slices of wood to start with. To finish it of you can either use different grits of sand paper or you can try and get a tooled finish using the knife, this is done by a series of lots of small cuts. All the best.
  4. Happy birthday mate, all the best. Simon.

    Grandad

    Congratulations mate thats great news.
  6. I wish it was my house lol Not too sure why the stub was left tbh I was grounding, the limb that dropped was above that one and had got caught up on the lower and the tree its self, our job was to get it down and safe as it was a big limb with alot of weight, I think there was some confusion afterwards as to whose tree it is, as there might be a reduction thats needed to be done.
  7. Very nice job Steve.
  8. We then walked over to my favourite tree, its my favourite because we were called out to a limb drop on it and that night Elizabeth was born, that was one long but worthwhile day.
  9. I got told off for taking pics of fungi and trees. Elizabeth weighing up the wildlife
  10. This one was a bracket with smaller brackets on it. A burly tree

  16. Hope you get it sorted mate.
  17. Got to admit I like the Natanoko its a good saw and the Gomtaro is a firm favorite but it has a habit of falling out of the sheath now and again, I think its all in the no of teeth really, my boss has a one for fruit trees it cuts like a dream very neat but to rip through conifers the Natanoko rules.
