  3. My 026 is only using a quarter of a tank of oil to one fill of fuel it should use three quarters per fuel tank. the bar is clean and the chain has anyone got any clues as to the problem. I am no mechanic but if it snows tomoz i could give it a go at putting it right many thanks for advice.
  4. Hi ben i got a massey ferguson4225 80 hp with a loaderon it i have just got to get a grab. this is good for me as i have had to hand ball wood into trailors not good. but no crane maybe i will push for it in 2010.

  5. Hi nick you have been a bit quiet of late i guess you must be busy. it was really cold today in the wind i was on a shoot, i would rather have been in a wood with a fire.

  6. Contractors haha they cannot afford them. I have the same problem with tubes the estate say burn them the EA say no burning of plastic.on friday afternoon i had to go in our ancient wood as the deer had knocked all the tubes over and made a right mess

  7. Hi mate i still need to phone you i will try and fit that in soon, must get my processor working properly before next season.

  8. Ihave been beating most of the week last one tomoz. Got my new tractor well new to me LOL. I am still felling spruce. then i am going thinning.this will interest you the plantation was poplar and they all fell in 87 gales, replanted in 89 mixed broadleaves and never been thinned not even cleared of elder and bramble. the agent said it is a rubbish wood but it is a lovely wood at least the owner likes it as well. most of the plantations were planted in the 70s and have still got tubes on and the bark is soft underneath. but it is to much to do for one man. your holiday sounds cool?

  17. A friend of mine has just done up a 1954 david brown tractor it has the flat belt wheel on it to run your saw bench how did you run it?

  18. flaming ace where did you get that winch i would like one like that i like the way it pushes in the ground to stop it moving.
  19. The thing that makes great britain great is veteran and ancient trees. If you go to windsor great park with ted green you will walk around hollow thin walled trees and thousands of people do this every year, but as HSE get more involved more trees that could live for hundreds of years will live possibly 100 and felled which is good for timber merchants but changes what we like to see old trees. I have a book 1883 forestry journals and in there are pictures of some veteran trees and some are still here if HSE was around in 1883 things may look a lot different than it does.
  20. Ihave just bought a massy ferguson with a 815 loader on it does anyone know of a bucket and a grab for this it has to be secondhand and cheap we have ran out of money. I am sure someone must know of one laying around in a field or barn. In east anglia would be nice.
