  3. You were lucky then i got mine hung up first go but i broke my winch the shear pin went:lol: i used the other blokes and he got his hung up first go as well:thumbup: The letter box cut is interesting it is all good stuff bring on the learning:thumbup:

  5. The hardest bit i found in the assessment for CS32 was getting the tree hung up to winch out the assessor told us it was a fail if you did not hang one up first go so you do need to line them up well:thumbup1:

  9. The Beech picture if you go for a walk at Windsor with Ted he will show you Beech that have hollowed out and he has watched them totally heal and as he said they will live forever. If you go to Staverton you will see Hawthorn Silver birch and Holly walking as a tree grows old and rots it falls over takes root and grows live forever? Here i have man made pollards and natures pollards i will have to get my camera out tomoz i think. I have two large old oaks as your picture large limb drop full of brown rot one has now got a Field maple growing out of it and that is at least 50 years old:thumbup1: Today i went to deliver a christmas card to a lady whos husband died this year of cancer and i had to go and look at an oak tree in the garden he pollarded four years ago wonderful.
  10. I am a woodman and the lure and magic of a wood is hard to beat. In the summer i will go into our ancient woodland and sit under a veteran Hornbeam and after half an hour you will of seen all sorts of birds and usually a Roe or fallow deer will walk by heaven:thumbup1:

  25. I delivered a tractor trailer load of bone dry logs and tipped up a week later we had all that heavy rain and it was still on the drive soaked:thumbdown:
