Thanks for the link Craig. Think you should read the review on this product which is posted on the site: Retreever - Has its ups and downsThis tele reach device, while kind of flimsy, certainly changes the way you think about getting around in a tree. You can grab a throwbag almost 10 ft away. But don't pull too hard! The hook isn't strong and does not retain it's bend if you hit a snag. One of the joints also hyper-extended on me and cut me pretty badly. Sherrill and Co. was very cool about the whole thing. But I have a replacement in mind, because this is one advantage I have come to depend uponMiko Del Fort Washington, PA 12/2/2010

  3. Reidy, are you sure you have the Zermat boots (red in colour) or the Tirol Fighter (black in colour)?? The Zermats have a waterproof membrane whereas the Fighters do not. If you have got the Zermatts i would suggest you contact your supplying dealer immediatly to raise this issue with us and for the boots to be inspected.
  4. 59 plate Automatic 22mpg around town, heavy right foot i guess lol
  5. In 2011 we will have available the NEW STEIN foot acender built specificly for use with Chainsaw Boots. Most foot acenders on the market were designed to be fitted to standard climbing shoes and not to large boots. The Stein has a clip which stops the rope from jumping out of the ascender when in use but allows for quick release of the rope when required. Once it is available for general sale we will post on here. This will form part of the STEIN Synergy SRT System due for release in 2011. Closed position Rope locked in place Open position
  6. The UK Gladiators have just been upgraded just recently from class 1 (20 m/s) to class 2(24 m/s). There are still some dealers who can offer the class 1 versions which they might have left in stock.
  7. The American market demands a different standard than CE. The basic gladiator design will be the same as what you buy here but with some extra protection inside. UL demands another 50mm of protection over what CE demands on Type A design
  8. I was sent this video from our STEIN distributor in Japan. John is both a Trainer and major Arb Supplier in Japan and is working very hard to promote treework over there. Arborist are few and far between in Japan. There are many workers in the video, these are Johns Students. The main reason for the video is a Welsh TV company was filming Welsh made products being used in Japan. Watch and enjoy, the film is in 2 parts [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5vYqTpPC9w]YouTube - Japan Arborist TreeWork in Ancient Japanese Temple PART1[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98i8-HPTTx0]YouTube - Tree Climbing Japan Arborist Temple Tree Work Part 2[/ame]

  17. As Jo-Beau has no representation within the UK consider the Greenmech machine as the best alternative
  18. These are the wheels we are looking at using. These puncture proof tyres have all the benefits of their pneumatic equivalents, but without any need to change a tyre due to punctures

  22. Remember at present you are not giving workers anything for doing this job! except brute force! maybe a Wheel barrow? maybe a normal Two Wheel Trolley? any of these could give you the same problem you are talking about. There are other products on the market which you maybe giving workers to use which can also result in possible law suits. lets not derail this thread into a HSE discussion. As I said earlier we are open to positive suggestions and willing to discuss these at the APF next week.
  23. The trolley shown in the Video as Reg has pointed out is the orginal proto-type design (alpha model) the two on display at the APF will be the beta version. We will take onboard all positive feed back and safety sugestions prior to the trolley going into full production.
  24. As Reg said earlier we will have a couple of working models availble for you to view and try at the APF next week. Regarding pricing and availablity we will keep you posted.
