  1. was that the fighting cock? real spit and sawdust place last time i was in there in the 90's.
  2. sounds suspiciously like my student days in durham about ten years ago, still haven't learnt the lesson:001_tongue: my favourite tipple would have to be my local's current guest: Leeds Best from the leeds brewery:001_tt1:
  3. that landy is barely run in especially for a landy and the beauty of them is, as tom has said, you can just replace bits fairly cheaply and also they are quite easy to work on if you have a reasonable grasp of mechanics. Mine is a 2.5td and has done 100k+ miles and the engine is still fairly sound apart from a blown exhaust manifold gasket and the breather pipe filling the air filter with oil.
  4. lmao when i saw this giles:001_cool:

    first car

my first vehicle was an r-reg mwb semi-high roof transit which i got for 1k but was written off in a collision that the police said was a 50/50 due to me having to cross the give way line to see oncoming traffic. this was followed by my current van a citroen dispatch and i have my infamous landy 90 (see capel manor thread).
  6. a 130 hi cap body is slightly wider i think but probably about the same size lengthways as a 110. should say on the land rover website.

  9. dean lofthouse, the ragged arse philanthropist:001_tongue: seriously though dean highly commendable of you.
  10. don't know what sort of price they are but what about Wiley-X goggles. Same as our lads are wearing in afghanistan. http://www.wileyx.com
  11. tommy i think if you had explained a bit of the history behind the story, there might not have been the backlash. however apology accepted mate:beerchug:
  12. if the old one turns up after he has got a replacement, the old one becomes the property of the insurance company:thumbdown:
  13. i was bullied quite severely at school to the point that it was affecting me to such a degree that i had to see a psychologist. Being on the receiving end of the bullies ain't fun lads and it certainly ain't funny being a victim.
  14. on the cotswold website it says that the julbo sunglasses are not suitable for driving.
  15. like i said dean: private lofthouse+beer = disaster for one party or the other.
  16. bob, you could whs services. i think they have a couple of tracked mulchers that they were using on a job down south somewhere, but i do know that they do have mini tractors and flails.
  17. At least most oakley's are suitable for driving bob; unlike the julbo's:thumbdown:. You can also get prescription polycarb oakley lenses for a reasonable amount extra.
  18. we yorkshiremen and scots dont have to worry about the administration cost as we have charity discs to go in the slot:001_tongue:
  19. lmao!
  20. i did know this tony, just forgot to add it:blushing: but satan is not in hell as satan he is there as lucifer after being cast out of heaven for trying to take over. Although brutus and judas did both commit suicide after betraying their friends.
  21. i wear oakley crosshairs and find i don't need a strap as the strap onmy helmet holds them in place. Oakley's are designed for sports etc and frankly i wouldn't wear anything else now as i also wear ordinary glasses which have oakley intake 4.0 frames
  22. i think sip do something similar, although it does say in the eric hunter catalogue that it's for occasional users such as farmers:001_tongue:
  23. is your physique becoming more bacchanalian like mine stevie? although you are a bit taller than me.
  24. SWB, when i first met you at capel i thought "wtf is this guy on?!!" because you were like ewen bremner at his job interview in trainspotting:scared1:. i now know that you are just high on life itself and you are a salutary lesson to us all.
