  9. Cycling fr me, she runs and am not risking my knees on that nonsense, good diet is key. 2000kcals an yr ok. Booze at weekends. Young mate showed up after 3 years not seen and from slim 19 yr old a now massive 26yr old ging-er bearded house ( beer n pub every night 😦) K

  13. @skc101fc just reminded me of a job in Chelmsford on the lake in that park of a collapsed Willow, the council wanted removing. Offered us a nice ally Dory to row out to the island with, to retreive the brash. Ran a pull rope out to it an used transit to tow it to shore for chipping. Hilareous job until we saw how much goose shit lathered that island 😫 K

  20. Oddly, those DUKW were actually built fr a certain Man Who Says Yes, for fruit harvesting between the islands before the war, but like the DC3, a bloody good army toy in the right hands. K
  21. My neighbour in Yorkshire used to be Army driving instructor, took Stalwarts off the harbour end into Portsmouth harbour, he insisted they hit 30mph so back end didnt tip it nose first into water, must have been a sight 😋 K
