@kevinjohnsonmbe am saddened I missed that - and am passionate abt how our industry is perceived. It is a highly technical and demanding profession which is a key provider for the Urban and Wildlife component of our society. Obvs fly tipping cunts and Johnny big bollocks giving it the ' we will knock that out missus - 400 knicker' need putting up against a wall..... Sounds like Herself wasn't helpful ? K

Just been on R4 news now - RR is not looking at furlough ing staff for as long as it takes to start selling engines again ? an doesn't think the demand will suit current work staff levels . K

@monkeybusiness it's all the bits n bobs that connects engines to yr aircraft, not just Old Jeff with his saffire torch brazing tine after tine on the turbofans ? @breffni cos engineering is perceived as a blue collar dirty working class thing in UK, in spite of our majestic iron working around the World. If yr some squeeky money spinner in City, you get the gongs. K

Sounds a bit like the "no I haven't been sick in the last 48 hours" forms you have to fill in food factories. Presumably a form which says neither you nor anyone in your household is showing symptoms? Basically that's all the hospital did when i went to donate blood last month. It's not a proof and it's on yr honour system anyway, K

I would say on any of my surveys, if base of trunk is not visible / accessible, it goes down as a Fault, either for crews to clear or more extensive survey date to be set- dependent on Target or Management approach. K -
