  1. I had the main zip replaced within a month with a larger tougher zip. The pit zips have jammed in the mesh. I've washed it once using Nikwax soap. Still waterproof. Ty
  2. This model chipper is a generic Chinesium affair sold under a myriad of names with slight variations. This one with the folding hopper is new to me though. Ty
  3. Hello, Does any-one have a good source for replacement blades? Regards Ty
  4. Stihl or Husqvarna. The perennial one. Ty
  5. Hello, Does anyone use a Toro ped mower commercially? They seem pretty solid and have good features like a vario drive which automatically adjusts to your walking speed. I'm tight for space in my garage, my Honda hydrostatic pro model is getting on a bit and takes up alot of room. Toro do a 'Smart Stow' which has a folding handle and stores upright so saving space. Fuel tank and carb are designed to allow this. Any feedback welcomed.
  6. The French won't have it. I try and talk about bats, hornets, woodpeckers and bugs but the clients eyes glaze over in confusion and they cry 'mais, cest pas jolie...' They don't even want a wee stub and would have me flush cut if they could. Ty
  7. There is a hole in my bucket, dear Lisa dear Lisa... Ty
  8. Hello Big J, How much might a tipping trailer be? Around 2t capacity. I've German friends who can help. Also, are any chippers less expensive? T.P are almost double the U.K price and the other makes up to 40% more. Regards Ty
  9. Shut it you! And you! I'm looking for complications and all the while it's FECKIN RED BUTTONS... Ty
  10. Me too but on a G.M 200. In this the red button only stops the rollers not the engine. There are 2 of them as well. Ty
  11. Hmmmn. 2 anvils, vertical and horizontal. One way, easiest for access, is to remove the flywheel. That is another job altogether. I went in from underneath, working my arms through the turntable slew ring. Without being there and doing again I'd find it tough to relay the actual method to you. With 1017hrs on the machine it is againy time to get the anvils 'redressed'. I don't know if the edges can have weld added then machined to size. With my company going into dissolution then liquidation this might be an irrelevance. Ty
  12. Hello, Does anyone have any experience of ordering from the States? Treestuff.com in particular. Is it worth it considering the duty to be paid? Regards Ty
  13. For those with Google Earth, this is the address. La Grande Martinière, Saint-Denis-de-Gastines The long thin lake is slightly to the right up a bit from the marker. Poplars are to the left and that is also the limit of the land. They are on the edge of a dyke which forms the lake bank and what drops beyond stays beyond. Ty
  14. I totally forgot to take images but I'll ask the client to take some as it is an hour away. Ty
  15. Now, I have access to an excellent compact tractor and forestry winch (for now) but the bank is narrow and there are fishing pontoons which will foul anyway. A tractor cannot winch out because there is nowhere to winch too except the other side of the lake which is a much steeper bank. I will try to avoid black smelly mud on my kit and person. Ty
  16. Hello, I am faced with a line of 26 troublesome poplars on the bank of a fishing lake. The spec is to dead wood and remove some of the branches to reduce the risk for the fishermen below. Also to dismantle a few which have cavities or more severe damage. The owners have spent days clearing deadwood and broken branches which have fallen into the lake over the Winter. The drop zone is the path along the bank. Behind is a wilderness of wetland scrub and dragons in which I am sure no-one will bother if material is dropped there. The other side is the lake itself. Access is limited and simply felling into the lake is not an option. The majority of material to be removed is over the lake itself and some of these branches are impossible long and thin. What methods and kit might be usefull in rigging down these branches and bringing them safely onto the bank? I am thinking that a winch such as the GRCS could be used with a tip tie and a second pulley on a neighbouring tree with rope butt tied with a simple bollard. I'm here to be educated so I'm all ears and eyes. Cheers Ty
  17. Hello, I occasionally use my family car, a 2014 Renault Kangoo, for towing a trailer. The car is very low compared my 2003 Kangoo van and when the trailer is loaded the jockey wheel hits every speed hump and bottoms out. Has anyone used these or similar? http://mad-suspension.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=1&product_id=401 They even do an air suspension kit. Ty
  18. 'Demande' though, being perfectly acceptable for us Mike☺ Ty
  19. http://www.elietmachines.com/en/catalog/shredders/super-prof-cross-country/video Honestly, I've never seen one working productively but there again I've only ever seen rentals. Ty
  20. These have following in Europe: http://www.broyeurvegetaux.info/nos-produits/ They have launched 2 new versions. 18hp Vanguard and a self propelled version of it. Not yet on the web site though. https://www.galabau-messe.com/en/ausstellerprodukte/gala16/product-9873481/haecksler-4-extra-power Ty
  21. Although this is not my film, whilst cycling in Morocco I have seen some extraordinary examples of overloading of all kinds of vehicules. Ty
  22. Is this the same God who helps women find their car keys, scores touch downs and walks alongside Trump? Because his priorities are screwed. Breaking peoples sheds is an act of vandalism and the almighty should be bloody ashamed of himself. Ty
  23. There is a thread about kickback started by a victims father which at the time of writing this has a mere 2 pages to the 18 of this thread. In that context, I regret participating in this discussion. Ty
  24. Local dechetterie (municipal tip) rents one out at a token price to encourage house holders to compost more. I've had a couple of chipping jobs as a result. Painfully slow machine but it was a smaller Elite model. Ty
