  1. Read about that as well, nasty accident but god knows how he managed to completly sever it:confused1:
  2. I was supposed to be reducing a beech today but the bad weather got the best of me It would probably end up looking like pic2:blushing: either that or fell it, some people just wont listen and I cant afford to be loosing work over it!
  3. All this stuff about exemptions is bafling me:confused1: I have about 4 different places i take chip to so I would need an exemption for each one! Then every time I chip on site I need one for that! Brilliant, leaving chip on site ids the best thing you can do for the environment, no transport running costs, no extra fuel being wasted,no possible land fill and we then have to do more paper work (worse for the environment again) and then pay a fee ridiculus. I would like to see how the lads on the railways, power lines and motorways would be dealing with that! Do you get an exemption for the entire M6

Why do you have an 020 in your avatar? was the Husky broken
  5. Gotta disagree with all that :thumbdown:tbh very underhanded IMO Did your boss have 8 specimen scots in his garden? If not he should plant some instead of preaching to other people.
  6. You could possibly get it tig welded, or you could maybe try this stuff http://www.aluminiumrepair.co.uk/html/hts-2000_technical_info.html Either way your gonna have to strip it down, I bet a case wont cost more than about £90-100.
  7. Yeah but only when the building inspector is about
  8. Oh forgot to say the height of the depth gauges can also make a difference if one side has been ground down alot more than the other.
  9. Thats my thoughts aswell, no good messing about trying to reduce this and that, it can cause more damage in the long term. I've done quite a few tree removals because of subsidance and the genral thought is get rid of the tree and when everything has settled down repair it. Only really a problem if it was a large old tree and a new build plus also depends on the soil species etc.
  10. They also have no insurance,no tickets, pay no tax or ni and cause murder, so no waste license aint a big deal . They do need shooting though disclaimer (I'm talking about the vast majority not the small amount of decent ones)
  11. We also give our chip away for free, the odd time we get a few quid for it. Cba in storing it marketing, loading and delivering.
  12. We were all supposed to have a waste license years ago its not something new. Plus I think there are other waste of time and money things we have to do like have a groundie with aerial rescue why I know it is another stupid thing to pay out for but think that if you dont, your customer is liable for you tipping there waste and they could get into trouble because you dont have a license. Now thats not very professional is it I also dont believe everyone who says that they have never tipped at a land fill site, I know of at least 2 muppets where I live that will swear blind that ALL there arising are recycled 100% when I know for a fact that they use skips when its convienent People, we are all blaggers, liars and hipocrites at some point in life.
  13. I know plenty of idiots that shouldnt be allowed to think on there own, never mind own a gun:scared1: We need more properly enforced laws IMO, the first being a license to have kids, the gene pool is getting watered down with idiots
  14. We should all be earning enough to be running brand new vans, chippers and saws but err we dont so we have to make some cut backs, it all depends on what your priority is with kit. Personally I like to spend as little money as poss and use my time to ensure kit runs well, then pocket the difference
  15. I think there are only about 4 of us idiots in the country who have one.
  16. Well thats customer service for you! No offer of coming to you to repair, since its a fault from the manufacturer Or at the very least send you the parts.
  17. Did you ever get Bandit to sort the infeed prob out before the above happened. And did you give em any stick at the APF:001_smile:
  18. I got this from the environment website I may be reading it wrong though Brokers Unless you qualify for an exemption, if you want to deal in waste or arrange for someone else’s waste to be disposed of or recovered, you need to register as a waste broker. However, you don’t need to do this if: you’re arranging for your own waste to be disposed of or recovered; you’re arranging the disposal or recovery of someone else’s waste and you are going to transport it as a registered carrier; you’re arranging for someone else’s waste to be disposed of or recovered if you are the operator of the authorised site where the waste is going to.
  19. Just had a quick check and if you use a skip for example or someone removes log or chip from a site that isnt your yard (with exemption) then you will need a brokers license too. Just to confuse and annoy you all even more
  20. Oh and btw I'm sure you need a brokers license if your going to get someone else take the waste away ie for biomass from a site etc.
  21. If one side is alot noticbly longer than the other then yes but as to individual teeth nope.
  22. I like trees, but then again, I am a parasitic fungus.
  23. I like trees but, I'm not weird honest!
