I thought it was clutching at straws hoping that they were in an air pocket! I suppose while theres hope its worth giving it a go. I very nearly drowned once and that was in warm calm waters in the middle of the day, it was terrifying. I feel for those poor buggers as it must have been horrendous.

They are still holding out hope that the remaining missing people are trapped in an air pocket. The last bit I read in yesterday's news, maybe it's just a recovery mission now.

The internet is at your finger tips, they dont have to claim asylum in the first safe country they come to, its part of some international agreement/treaty. I agree that most or maybe a lot of people are falsely claiming asylum, they should be sent back to where they came from and the country that they 'fled' from should have to pay some kind of penalty or fine to the UK to cover the cost. You've mentioned plenty of times that the UK/US illegally invaded Iraq, should only the neighbouring countries have to deal with the fallout and us being an island and the US being a trillion miles away can just go HA, tough. Yes, illegals and false claims tough, no entry, genuine cases OK maybe as long as we are only taking our fair share.

Yes you're correct but that has nothing to do with why the UK have to take on asylum seekers from distant countries.

I see the confused emoji Mr D. I guess it's about the Starmer comment but it's true. I can't remember who the interview was with but he was saying that we need to send all illegal immigrants back to where they came from. Something that I didn't know about until recently is that asylum seekers cannot work unless they get some kind of special permission or something. Surely that's a bit shit as if I was leaving a worn torn country and someone took me in I would want to be paying them back as best as I could i.e getting to work and contributing. Lots of things need updating IMO, it's a pity the Tories couldn't do it over the last 13 years.

That. And unfortunately that. I watched an interview were Starmer basically said what Mr Bolam said, send them back, and I agree 100%. If they won't say where they came from then surely it's jail time breaking rocks for an eternity. Or sweeping the streets since that job seems to have disappeared and I think it needs bringing back.

That 1.3 kg is probably nearer 2 kg once you fill the oil and fuel tank up and the fact the 70cc feels a lot bigger would, for me, not make it comparable to a 50cc machine.

I was reading that earlier, way over the top IMO. Its not like she was trying to round up a load of people to start a riot, just a stupid bit of a racist rant. Hopefully someone out there is going to try and get that overturned. If my Mrs Nan had access to facebook she would have been banged up for life!

I don't disagree with most of that but I prefer to give my kids the basics and let the teachers, the experts, expand and go into depth to properly educate them. If I was worried about what my kids were being taught in school then I would take them out and get private schooling. I like Rowan Atkinson and will check the video out later.

Its teaching kids how to fact check. I think that you will find that there is still plenty of misinformation out there that hasnt been shut down.

If its just fact checking and giving them the skills on how to do it then I dont see how its pushing an agenda.
