  1. how far away from the nearest main are you, 50k sounds an awful lot
  2. a mate of mine slabbed my patio for me but i told him that i would point them, because i wanted something i could pressure wash without blowing everything out, the method i used was to make a strong sand cement mix to the consistency of thick gravy then add a good dollop of unibond and pour into the joints with a jug or pointing gun, it goes off like steel, they have been down about 8 years now and pressure washed every year. ive seen some guys brushing a dry mix into the joints, total waste of time.
  3. i have 30 31 chipper, brushcutter and first aid, how long do NPTC tickets last.
  4. a couple of months ago i took down a big leylandi for a lady who lives next door to a car body shop, one of the guys working there asked if he could have the wood, i said yes carry on, the other day the same lady calls me back to take down a biggish eucalyptus which was overhanging next door as well but that all the wood was to be left on site, it turns out that the same guy who had the leylandi wood had seen me pricing the job and the following day had knocked her door saying that he would take the tree down free just for the wood, when i saw him on his break i told him what i thought of him and how would he like it if i parked outside his work telling people that i would spray their cars cheaper than him, he had no reply.
  5. Funny, i've got the same symptoms
  6. can anyone tell me if the TW 150's have got an engine cutout if they get too hot, as there is no temp gauge or warning light, cos sometimes on a warm day on connies they work damn hard and just wondering if they would cut out before any damage was done, thanks.
  7. just had exactly the same problem repaired on my 150, it was the small forward reverse valve inside the engine compartment
  8. ive delivered logs to customers who know i am coming and when i get there they say oh i havent got cash on me now, do i get arsey with them and loose a customer?, what i tell them is you'll have to drop the money off with me, like no rush said the guy knew where he lived, he got paid the next day, so lighten up some people
  9. love the way she just carries on putting the rubbish in and brushes the twigs off her coat, close call though
  10. not sure about solarez but ive used loads of clear resin to mount things in stick handles, fishing flies etc, i build up around the item to be filled with plastecine and do it in one pour, whan its hard i take the excess off with a powerfile then finer and finer sand paper until im down to 1500 wet and dry, and then T cut, comes up like glass.
  11. hi mate, i live in kidwelly, i got a mate who might be able to do that for you, i'll see him tonight and ask him, whats the access, ground like etc.

    work

have you tried Les or is he busy.
  23. but all the services you mention above are all 24 hr anyway, and the people who choose to work in them know so before they take the job on, i know buisiness is buisiness but i think the point the OP was trying to get across is that the sitiuation was'nt life or death and the customer could have waited a couple of hours before making the call, i've had a phone call at 9.30 pm on a christmas eve for logs, and when i told them i cant do it till after boxing day they said dont worry were ok till the new year, so why phone me on christmas eve.
  24. thank god, a sensible answer
