  1. You'd have to climb a rope to access the crown, assuming no damage to the tree. Not into that myself. Give me a broadleaf any day. Good view at 60m I would think.
  2. Nice of you to run such a charity for newbie climbers. The same climbers in a year will be hardened off one hopes. either stick with them or tell em to come back when they've got more realistic about the work. I guess everyone's got to start somewhere.
  3. Presumably these climbers are new to contract climbing?
  4. You can claim for anything. If the inland revenue decide to investigate you, which is done on a random basis. they will go through every single expense with a fine tooth comb. All the crazy stuff will come back to bite you. Including any phone calls on a mobile business contract that can't be proven to be solely and wholly for the business.
  5. What with the lack of visual evidence due to how arbtalk works, this is a joke. Well almost. You can't see me at all. can you?
  6. do you see me laughing?
  7. What with the closures and the ques, whats an armed robber to do?
  8. I won't realise till tomorrow.
  9. Nothing has changed. Presumably thats not a clip shot on super 8 in 1951. Probably shot in 2008 on a modern video whatsit.
  10. Oi! put that shooter away you slag!
  11. Your death is change. The tree root is paranoia and the life cycle of the deer is the Pernod distillery under your big toe nail going on strike. The coffin is a small village in Yorkshire you traveled through in your last dream when you were a biscuit. Dreams are the dumping ground of the brain. Interpret them as you will, as it all means nothing. Like a girls aloud video. Anyway why weren't you chopped down for a bypass? of marshmallows.
  12. That's a fair point.
  13. Hello the monk E. After a serious accident I wrote to the HSE for stats on chainsaw accidents. They sent a piece of A4. Interestingly, their US counterparts sent war and peace. Admittedly this was in 2001. If things have changed, where can we access the HSE stats? I'm no accident magnet, but I've been in or around more than my fair share of chainsaw mess. Don't remember one incidence of the HSE investigating the how and why. Does their Stats just record there was an accident? Or do they record the important information about how it happened? Curious.
  14. Hey Nuggsy, just messing man. My track record isn't so hot either. Being a parent is a proper job, fair play to you. sorry trying to keep it light.
  15. Your a jolly nice man aren't you. If the so called `antis' needed ammunition, there's no need to go any further than your wit. A good point well made.
  16. Usain Bolt?
  17. best get off that roof then sleepy.
  18. Probably quicker than any tree surgeon?mmm That makes your pretty dammm quick. In which case charge top dollar. 1000ukp a day.
  19. Glee and KY dont mix on the same hands
  20. Your a funny guy Nuggsy I shall follow your career with glee
  21. er.... Darwin. Second time I've had to mention this Nuggsy
  22. Old Stevie cant climb trees for toffee, so your better than him.
  23. I guess. never been wrong*. I use my own sense of self preservation. I stand away away and think if it was felled, would it hit me. It's either a yes or a no, eventually I find somewhere the top leaves would tickle my face. Distance to base is the height of the tree. Takes about 10 seconds and *I was once 2 foot out.
  24. yep!!
  25. Reni's drums sound like snapping wood at the start. Great.
