  1. This is what my kids use. google away. It's a Petzl.
  2. Well stop doing it. What other ways did arb and forestry people differ Christreeroot?
  3. Food was a concern. Would have liked to actually have proper food and not the sick in a bun that was for sale. You are what you eat. I ate beer.
  4. Personally. without the arb the APF would be a huge paint drying observation exercise. Other than the obvious pulls of the Mountain biking and carving area the circuit was like pulling teeth. I'd be interested to know how many punters are more arb than forestry. I wonder if the show is about selling big forestry kit to just a handful of foresters. I enjoyed the day, but like many would like to have seen more arb demo's.
  5. should have been live as it happened.
  6. Don't get channel 5. Poo. Can i say poo?
  7. I woke up to find a caravan in my back garden. We never found out who it belonged to either, it had blown some distance. The damage to trees was because of heavy rains and late leaf drop. Most damage was entire mature trees going over with the root plate. I know of a guy who went to an un-named chainsaw suppliers and bought their entire stock of saws and then did a tail gate shop out side the original store selling saws at 4 times the price. First Ive heard of it not being a hurricane. Getting accross epping forest on the roads was impossible for weeks. Lots of work for everyone though. Many firms started with the Hurricane. 15 million trees were uprooted.
  8. inject 6 kg of pure heroin into your eye. Works for me every time. You'll thank me later. Have you seen the time?

  16. Those helmets are really really really nice. Sounds like a gay rallying cry. I had a beer at the Arbtalk corner, Had a chat with Mr Bullman, everyone should pop in and have a chat with Steve. I did a little retail therapy. Shot the breeze at treeworker with Nod and his crew, Nice guys. American Spirit ciggies too. Here's a few pics from when I remembered the camera was round my neck.
  17. Munkymadman and Zenfordinner (great name) have both suggested the strength and flexibility of the muscle around the joint and one without the other would be of limited use. Inflexible muscle will result in injury. The bigger the muscle the more difficult it is to build some flexibility into it. Mountains will always make your knees hurt. particularly on the way down. As already said knees are rubbish. Good luck.
  18. Not ready for the space programme then. This made the news, he he. some g force! [ame] [/ame]

  20. If you don't cut any trees you don't need any.
  21. One to swear loudly, one to call for an ambulance that never arrives and one to apply the 2nd large wound dressing.
  22. 3 is a synergy. It cant be beat.
