  1. I have antilock on my valtra so plan to do the same, processor on the front and splitter on the back.
  2. Got an anticlock front PTO or do you swap the processor onto the back for working?
  3. I've handled boats before, My dad has his skipper tickets so I'll take him on the maiden voyage. Thanks for all the comments, I think its worth giving the old engine a go to see how she runs.
  4. I think she'd be ok in the sea on a calm day, the 535 was an estuary boat, meant for up to 3 mile off shore apparently. Wouldn't fancy it in a big swell though...
  5. I bought an old boat at auction the other day, she's probably older than me but seems in reasonably good nick and had a trailer and motor. The boat is a 1970's model and so by the looks of it is the engine, a 50hp 2 stroke yamaha. Although the boat appears solid and doesn't have any major damage or repairs I do wonder about taking her out to sea, especially if I take the family. It has a Loch Lomond Sticker on it so I guess she has spent most of her time in fresh water. She has a low transom and so needs a short shaft engine, which are apparently hard to find in decent power ratings. This means I would probably need to stick with the old yamaha. My question is would you: Extend the transom to take a long shaft engine? Run the yamaha if it seems ok? Or buy a small second motor to use as a spare? The boat is a shetland 535 so anyone who knows anything about them please feel free to give any tips or advice... Cheers Tom
  6. Not hard really, I haven't been all that strict either, still had milk, pulses occasionally, and things like scotch eggs as sandwich replacements when I hadn't had time to make a packed lunch, even the odd squirt of brown sauce too. What I have done is tried to stay below 100g of carbs a day, and thats not actually that hard.
  7. Lost a stone now. Had a slice of fried bread with my bacon and egg to celebrate.
  8. Nope, I got one recently and it was yellow. Nice tractor, what HP is the 92?
  9. Definitely, a week of cold frosty weather, especially with a bit of wind will work wonders.
  10. Whats wrong with them Stevie?
  11. I'll get the vat back, but yes the one that made me laugh was 2 isc pulleys which retail at about £12 each sold for £46! I bought one of the winches but only because I had already bought the winch wire LOL, thankfully it wasn't the one that went for 250..
  12. Well, I bought a few bits and bobs, any one else get anything?
  13. Tried the 034 today, it seems pretty good, the pickup is way better. Cheers Spud!
  14. I actually thought about getting some of them a few years ago after seeing a plasterer using them, but we don't really do enough hedges to justify them...
  15. As stevie says, good simple machines. We had a 250 pto and a hired a tracked 6" machine which was pretty good...
  16. That has crossed my mind several times.... It might end up as another thing gathering dust in the shed, only used a couple times a year.... Be handy on the right job though..
  17. Possibly, if they were south of the forth it may have helped. TBH I think to have a successful arb shop you'd either need to be in a densely populated area like the M62 corridor or darn saarf......and you'd need to sell a lot on the net.
  18. Rare things... Not many people go for small PTO chippers so there's not many around second hand. Shame as I'd love one for my alpine but can't really justify buying a new one...
  19. Thats about the third time that place has gone bust, I remember when they started out doing arb stuff there was a thread on here and I joked that they wouldn't last long.....
  20. You are wrong, diesels produce CO, you can also be asphyxiated by CO2.. Lake Nyos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I'd have Some big fans blowing through the building. Or use a shovel....
  21. I have managed to reverse this rig which is similar, although I wouldn't want to reverse it far, the old 6400 would have been better as it had a much better steering lock....
  22. If I was doing it day in day out I'd consider running an over length bar and a skip chain, maybe a 20-24" on a high revving 50cc saw. You can get some lightweight bars that run pico chain for milling applications. Light weight and good reach would be the thing for me.
  23. Thats very interesting about RHI payments.. Whats the biggest chunker on the market? in terms of what diameter it will take..
  24. Call Bullseye stump removal 07833 150 739. Very good service.
  25. Hope you see it again, I'll be on the lookout. Have you done all the tree work there? there has been a lot done recently...
