i dont really know if this is relvent but i think the college are at fault as well due to them telling students theres big money in the arb industry and some students will leave college thinking they can walk straight into a climbers job and make big buck without having a basic knowledge of all parts of tree work. im not saying students shouldnt be taken on as climbers but they must be pretty special to walk straight into a climbers job. if college told students there was big money in it but they would need to work hard and work through the ranks more people would have a better idea about how it works in terms of employment. some may agree and some may think im talking complete p**h but thats my opinion.

i done my course last year and finished in june, i had never thought of doing arb work and when i first started my course i was a bit nervous but i loved my course and tried my hardest. im not working at the moment due to the area i live in and now due to the state of the world i think im in for a long wait but im desperate to get started in the world of arb.

hey all, do any of you guys have secure boxes on the back of your tippers, pick ups or in general? If you do, do you keep saws and kit in them if so what size are they and where did you get them from? Last but not least if its not to much trouble could you take a pic of it so i can see it please? cheers guys PS ive looked at the ones on ebay but i can really get the size of them in my head. so if poss pics of them with kit in them would be good

i watched it last night and to be honest i was quiet bored after about 10 mins. the hung up tree was the most stupid and dangerous thing i have ever seen. and they wonder why so many people get killed????????

i know nothing about the books side of things mate but im new to the arb stuff as well although i have my tickets but my advice is hang about the forum and you learn a s**t load. plus ask questions and they will be answered.

SWB im not a parent so i dont really know if this will be any help but how about letting him wash your hair so he can see its not a big thing? i dont really know if its a good idea letting a 3 1/2 yera old wash your hair but i hope you get things back on track with him.

if we get to spike that would be cool but if not thats also cool they aint our trees so need to do what the owner says. are we any closer to finding out where were going now thats theres 3 palces been mentioned? ill be asking a few folk if they fancy it but i reckon they will say its to far away. 1 of which is arb garry who is a member on here but aint been on in ages

im fully expecting some serious stick for this comment but remember im new to all this as ive only worked on the reailway, what should the end result look like if its been done with a saw? and someone that has half a clue about what they are doing?

dont think my brew money will stretch that far but ill try my hardest to save for the one in june but hopefully ill be working by then would like to go to a show this year.

i dont know how people will react to this im not taking the piss but do you think there would be any chance of spiking? i also know you dont spike live trees i was meaning if there are any dead ones would we be able to spike them. i supose i should really start writting all my questions down just now. lol
