  1. I,m not, I don't need to wear leathers, my skin is so thick. You have however just shown me your hand
  2. That's a bit of an unfair comment
  3. No wonder the youth of today is screwed up
  4. That's where the problem lies you see, we do like dealing with people and do so very well indeed, we have excellent time keeping, excellent customer service, are very polite and most of all respectful to the customers property and plants. That's exactly why my phone does ring a lot
  5. It's not a one off though, the latest I have had is 11.30 pm. I'm sorry, but ignorance and selfishness is prolific and pandemic in today's society, the more it is accepted and condoned by like minded people such as here, the more is will happen. Just the same as too much h&s has taken away modern societies common sense, acceptance of rude and selfish behaviour will only make it worse in time to come Man up people, grow a spine and tell them it's not acceptable
  6. It is a case of choice, if you want to work 24 hours a day then advertise as such. People apply for jobs in the service sector or public sector knowing they will have to work unsociable hours, my wife is a nurse, she works unsociable hours, but she doesn't get patients ringing her up when she clocks off
  7. It's called socialising
  8. Might it be considered that you have already done a 70 hours week and need a bit of me time off. I wouldn't ring a business that early on a Sunday morning, it's inconsiderate and selfish, that type of customer can stick their logs. Logs in tree surgery should only be a sideline anyway, if I were so desperate as to grasp at every single potential log customer then I would consider a career change.
  9. My mates is called simply "Dog"
  10. Expanding your horizon Johnny ?
  11. I'm going skiing Jon so couldn't care less (-: Happy days
  12. It could be one of many things really, my carb filter suggestion is an easy one to look for but is one of a number of things to try to eliminate before starting to look at more drastic stuff like compression etc. But my suggestion is more for problems with fuel starvation at full revs Spudlike would be the best one to ask to look for other problems
  13. If any of the winners of my donations are reading this...Steve will pm me your address,s, but as you can appreciate because of the number of prizes donated this year it may take him some time to gather all the information. I am also going skiing at the end of this week and will have 28 prizes to package, address and send which I will do when I get back. So if you can be so kind as to bear with us, we will get your prizes to you but it may take a while. Thank you in advance
  14. Haha well spotted Steve, in there for its antioxidant properties and packed with vitamins too
  15. Thought I,d go down the Scottish mentality route for lunch 1 Apple 1 Small red chilli 1 good chunk of sweet potato 1 small carrot 1/2 yellow pepper 1 small chunk of fresh ginger 1 tb spoon of dried fruit 3 small chunks of cheese of choice Blend and serve with chips....yummy
  16. Lycopene ?? Sounds dangerous if consumed near a naked flame
  17. Open prisons are exactly that "open" the only reason I can see him being in an open prison is if he was nearing the end of his sentence
  18. Try bone dry wood first like pallet wood or any wood you know for sure as a very low moisture content, that way you can rule out the obvious first. Those symptoms are damp wood, rule it out for definate before ripping things apart or spending more money
  19. I already know you're bonkers !
  20. Chilli and Raspberry ??
  21. Doesn't it just, deadwood these will you
  22. Ill wave at you on your way back bob our planes should pass each other. I heard the snow is going to be crap next week but good the week after
  23. Most business,s like to make 100% profit, ie buy at £3 sell at £6
  24. Truck mount is very limited use unless you do a lot of LA roadside stuff, tracked can do everything all the others can do plus much much more, my tracked machine is only 18m but it has 11m outreach which comes in many many times, it can also fit through a 900mm gap and setup on slopes
  25. Like has been said above tracked is the most effective, it will be rare that you can't use it on a job whereas all the others you will be lucky to get to use them, most of the time truck mounts can only get to half of the tree if it is roadside. Tracked can be taken over lawns and round the backs of houses, bit of a pain setting up and doing long roadside runs but you can't have it all. Two hires a month should pay the finance Outreach is the most important factor imo and truck mounts usually have rubbish outreach unless they are 30m plus
