  11. First of all I must apologise for my ignorance. When I was a teenager I got drunk on bells whisky and from then on even the slightest whiff of whisky turned my stomach. It wasn't till last week when a friend managed to persuade me to have a snifter of his hip flask which had in some whisky from the highlands that smelt of tcp. This is where my apologies come in, I was ignorant enough to think that whiskies all tasted the same. This stuff, despite its smell exploded a load of flavours on my palate that got me interested in the stuff. I want to experiment and would like someone to recommend something on the lines of a more fruity type whisky as I had a snifter of some Dalmore 18 and liked it, but at £80 a bottle ..? Anyone got any faves and what tastes does it impart

  17. Wait till you've had 26 years of it Parker, it might annoy you then (-: I used to sell and repair power tools and generators from a mobile unit, once the customers found my address they used to knock on my door at ungodly hours expecting me to go into the workshop and repair there drill at 11pm because they needed it Monday morning. In the end I packed the job in and did tree surgery because it became rediculous I never got a minute to myself and couldn't even relax on the toilet, then one of my neighbours grassed me to the council saying I was running a business from home
  18. All multitools should arrive today, they were sent out Monday morning along with ratchets 27 parcels in total, our lass was none too pleased when I asked her to take them to the post office (-: There were a couple of islands address,s which may take a little longer obviously
  19. A metal sign saying, " closed all day Sunday "
  20. You started it you trouble maker
  21. Doesn't it just
  22. I,m chilled ffs
  23. No worries mate according to you; I,m outraged I,m knackered come Sunday morning because I work 70 hours I,m making a mountain out of a molehill I,m preaching morals I,m preaching manners I should be listening and learning from others I,m pretty much just coming out with stuff I,m trying to edit the world to my way of thinking And I should chill Sure all the above doesn't apply to you. Stevie, I am me not you and I,m very happy with my lot at the moment
  24. I'm not in slightest bit outraged Stevie. I,m about as chilled as you can be without cannabis. I,m quote happy to work 70 hours a week too, I get paid well for it. I just don't like it being suggested my customer service stinks because I don't answer my phone in the wee hours. We all have a choice, I do turn my phones on silent after 6pm and on a Sunday. I don't have a problem with people phoning me at silly hours now. Thing is it has taken me 26 years of being self employed to find out that not having down time does make you ill. I do all you have suggested and more. If people want to answer their phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week then get on with it, I don't have a problem with that, it's their choice. I do have a problem with ignorant selfish people though, society is riddled with them. We have been dealing with them all week working roadside with traffic control and footpath closed. I think ignorant selfish people should be taken to the vets, given electric shock treatment for one hour, dunked in battery acid up to there neck for ten minutes, then into salt for another five then released onto the Yorkshire moors bollok naked and left to walk themselves to the hospital. That's my opinion and on a public forum of which its primary function is to debate and express such issues, I intend to do just that, it keeps me sane and stops me from bottling it up. So mr Blair, buy yourself a pipe, go to the printer and print this post out, screw it up into a little ball, stick it in your pipe and smoke it, then collect the ash and insert it into your rectum
  25. I work at least 70 hours a week, one of the joys of being self employed. It was suggested earlier that people who don't answer their phones during unsociable hours are somehow being disrespectful toward their customers and are guilty of poor Customer service. Down time is extremely important to your health, it has nothing to do with your attitude toward the client. You don't have down time and you will crash and burn before long
