  1. Truck mount is very limited use unless you do a lot of LA roadside stuff, tracked can do everything all the others can do plus much much more, my tracked machine is only 18m but it has 11m outreach which comes in many many times, it can also fit through a 900mm gap and setup on slopes
  2. Like has been said above tracked is the most effective, it will be rare that you can't use it on a job whereas all the others you will be lucky to get to use them, most of the time truck mounts can only get to half of the tree if it is roadside. Tracked can be taken over lawns and round the backs of houses, bit of a pain setting up and doing long roadside runs but you can't have it all. Two hires a month should pay the finance Outreach is the most important factor imo and truck mounts usually have rubbish outreach unless they are 30m plus
  3. I,m 49 in may and still climb trees almost every day, no problems whatsoever. It's the hedge cutting that does my head in
  4. Get ya sen off to Maccy d's philistine
  5. That's looks really wholesome Mr Bobbins
  6. Bit of hornbeam in there too, I,ve got some on my bit which is clay and wet. There also birch, alder, blackthorn and hazel, Bird cherry seems to do ok too
  7. Nice one fellas, that book is "just the Job" Adam, thanks. I,m going to have a blendtastic new year
  8. Was bored today so went out and bought this processor, the idea being I can use the veg and stuff thats looking a bit rough from the veg rack and make soups in a jiffy, all healthy and wholesome type stuff. Any ideas

  10. Going to feed him on this diet for two weeks then take him back to vets for a blood test to see the difference
  11. I was out on the pee with a high court judge last week And I,m as common as they come And Barbour is crap, harkila is king
  12. My dog has just sat and watched that video Lee lol
  13. So they are ok with chicken bones ? It's a myth then I take it as foxes eat the whole carcass. This morning instead of a bonio, both dogs had half an apple each as a treat minus the pips
  14. Reading the barf literature is making me look at the whole dog nutrition thing in a different light. It makes perfect sense to be feeding dogs on raw meats now, Especailly good when I have a chest freezer full of pheasant and pigeon.
  15. I,ll have a little look and do some research on barf thanks, Sam has been drinking more than usual lately, he,s fit as a fiddle and showing no sign whatsoever of illness but the levels they look for in the blood are astronomical. One that is supposed to be around 100 is up at 1300 and another that's supposed to be about 4.5 is up at 17. Both dogs were put working yesterday with no problems Sam is the one in the background, really fit and a cracking little dog
  16. Cheers Dave.. Mine like fruit, especailly apple but I think poorly dogs are supposed to avoid banana because of the potassium? I,m not sure to be honest
  17. Does anyone have any tips on the best thing to feed my Springers on instead of the manufactured crap. I've just had blood tests done on my nine year old springer and he has something going on with his liver, all the indicators are raised so vet recommended changing his diet to reduce the strain on his liver, I think it is a low fat high protein diet avoiding things like high copper content stuff. Done a bit of research but it's complicated and loads of differing opinions. Today I boiled up some sweet potato, broccoli, rice and put in a little garlic and rape seed oil. They absolutely loved it, tasted nice to me too Apparently cod liver oil is bad for dogs with liver disease so omega 3 fatty acids have to be derived from other sources From now on I am never feeding any dog any manufactured stuff, even the £50 a bag stuff I was feeding them, every dog I have ever had seems to end up with lumps and bumps or some sort of health problems. Vet said if I get it right and a tumour is not the cause of the problems, the liver will or may regenerate to a point that will extend his life a good amount. During shooting season they do get treated to venison and game birds but only for three months of the year Any info much appreciated or tips to improve on what I give them.
  18. (Assuming your flu is clear) If I leave my stove till the chimney is completely cold, my stove does exactly the same, I have to use a gas blow lamp firing up inside the firebox to get the up draught started, two minutes of that then start your kindling fire directly under the flue opening or as close as possible to the exhaust part of the firebox. Then leave the stove door open a half inch or so till the flue warms and it starts drawing nicely. You will always have initial draw problems with a cold chimney as mentioned above with the cold plug
  19. I've bought her a push bike with a generator on to power the washing machine
  20. It's the future Alex, I think this is the way all developments will be heading, it's vulgar the amount of energy we consume and waste we produce in today's households
  21. Why so much in council tax !!
