  1. Oh dear ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Good idea
  3. It's the popping and creaking sound that is awesome
  4. I used castor oil for about twelve months, you know the stuff you used to smell at model car racing or at speedway. It performed well and smelled great but found on the huskys it started to carbon up on the piston below the piston ring and cause bad starting. Gone back to stihl
  5. Just taken off the 48v battery set as the reason I got it cheap was the batteries have been left uncharged for a long time. Going to try and desulphate them with the mega pulse which is supposed to send a high frequency pulse with vibrates and loosens the sulphate crystals which form on the plates in the batteries Got to leave mega pulse on for six weeks to work. So I have removed the batteries, rearranged them into a 24v set so as I only have a 24v charger and leave them on a float charge for the six week. Put on two mega pulse units arrange to work at 2 x 12v and hope it works otherwise its £2k for another set of batteries
  6. I like that buried log idea
  7. I've just thinned the woodland part of my yard And cleaned it all up David, next step is to create habit and plant some more unusual trees Stuck some Juglans Nigra in last year could do with some suggestions for some specimen trees that will do well in the northern climate and in clay soil. I have an ancient oak stem from the old woodland that I have placed in there as habitat, it was a lot bigger but Pete McTree cut it in half that time you came up when he got his truck stick against it
  8. I've used the Arborcoms quite a lot with Pete McTree in the past and they are awesome in the right situation. When I'm inside the crown working roadside and visibility is impaired. Pete can let me know with astonishing accuracy when to let go the next branch to wipe out the cyclist that has just run a red on the traffic management
  9. I do the same with customers Felix, I'm always persuading them to let us leave a little log pile somewhere as habitat in an obscure part of the garden. There's many jobs I've been on where the previous less scrupulous tree services people have "habitat piles of brash" without asking the customer
  10. Sorry Dad, ill not do it again, honest.
  11. Not sure which it was David tbh but at the time I did look it up and it was deffo an armillaria
  12. It was Armillaria tabescens, absolutely lifting with it

  18. It,d kill me mate
  19. I,ve consumed more alcohol from that bottle in the last two weeks than I have in the last twelve months in total, proper hardcore me tha knows
  20. Two weeks on and just wetting my tongue every now and then, really getting the taste for it now.
  21. Too many wraps
  22. Processor is getting some stick still, hasn't ended up on the top shelf. I,m finding it useful for throwing all the dregs of fruit and veg in and "mash it up". Today I chucked in (all raw) : Red pepper Mushroom Spinach Strawberries Red onion Turnip Aubergine Grapes Garlic Apple Broccoli Red onion Carrot Ginger Olive oil Dried mixed fruit Paprika Turmeric Ground cummin Garam masala Ground coriander Balsamic vinegar Shove it all in and mash it up and get 15 of your 5 a day
  23. You may have to take a run at it too !
  24. That looks good Stevie, needs the sign writing now. not sure, no doors, Scotland and winter go together mate
  25. It's an Aixam Mega Multitruck John, there are some others on the market but they are bigger and wouldn't get noticed, I wanted as small as possible. It will actually fit into the chip box on my 130 defender
