  1. Only because i because I made a little mistake and then missed the landing target, otherwise I'd of wupped your young puppy ass
  2. Billy, I wasn't suggesting "you" was a timewaster. What you need to understand is that some companys sell what they call "loss leaders". Products they sell for less than wholesale. B and Q are famous for it. They sell something for a very low price to entice the gullable in hoping they can have their pants down with something else such as a small box of screws for £5. If you play coy then you can get some real bargains, but just because one company sells something for a loss, doesn't make everyone else "substantially" dearer. Saying a company is "substantially" dearer on a forum that they sell specailist equipment into can do a lot of damage. I look at it this way, if everyone else is selling at roughly the same price and one company is selling at a rediculously low price, then that tells me that company is employing desperate tactics to get people in and to lose on one product they must be adding it onto something else
  3. It's not all about price Billy, if price is your motivating factor then buy a cheapo harness. If your willing to flame someone for the sake of a couple of quid on a £200 purchase then that is very sad. Jonesie is very competetive and provides an outstanding service, he has on a coupe of occasions gone to the trouble of photocopying parts lists and mailing them to me FOC He has also spent ours on the phone getting me a good deal on a knapsack sprayer from another dealer at no financial benefit to himself. It's called good service mate and it's priceless. I have spent 14 years trading in the harshest retail enviroment known to man dealing with thousands of customers a day mostly three at a time and ninety percent of those were "enquiries". You learn after a while to recognise timewasters as soon as they open their mouth who are price motivated not product quality or service. There's no point buying something for a couple of quid less from someone who will turn their back on you the moment theres a problem. Unless you have personally dealt with any of the retailers on here I would refrain from flaming them, it's grossly unfair and ruins a reputation that has been hard earned. Me and hundreds of others on here have found Justins prices perfectly ok. Retailers can't price check every item they retail and how many retailers do you know that will put on a show free of charge for your benefit has he has done last week spending no doubt hundreds of his own time on it
  4. Good Discount !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......................now we're talking incentive. They dont put a loading on to knock off do they, how do they compare to say NFU who dont ask
  5. They would lose a lot of custom to competition if they started being picky
  6. Dont take up shed burglary as a career mate
  7. Mick, I think you had drunk our share already before we got there and shared a bit with Mark
  8. Yes but I admit I dont drink and we got stuck in at 3.30pm so to last while 11.50pm as a non drinker makes me a hard northern gangster
  9. Ditto, seems to be the thing around the london area Stevie, seen a load of them on the south bank the week before honking up the beer they had just paid a fortune for. Must be a southern thing this not being able to take your drink
  10. Joe, has Liam beat you up yet. Mick, moving into the 21st century, you'll be getting broadband next and throwing the dot matrix printer
  11. You'll start seeing loads of spiders about because I think this is the time of year they start moving about scouting for partners
  12. No I just worked out the bonus and gave a total price you would get for the job after selling the planks. The customer is paying you to get rid of their tree, how you get the butt out is up to you whether you plank it or ring it, but they still should pay for it however it's done. £870 is what I would charge to the customer and I would round it to £900 if I came across metal work and did a chain in
  13. See, if you'd asked them to bring the one with the cab on you'd have been able to send someone else up the tree and you sit in the mini loader with the cab heater on
  14. So whats the prize for the nearest??
  15. I find pricing the job for a steady day instead of ripping your nuts off helps
  16. The question then is will they pay out on his insurance when they find out the cause
  17. Class Ed!! I'm going to use that line next time
  18. There's a case coming up soon with my mate. He rented out his building, which was used to grow canabiss in the upstairs part, there was an electrical fault and the building set on fire and is badly damaged. The rentee was arrested but my mate is now of the mind that the rentees insurance wont pay out, I dont know whether my mate had his own insurance This only happened this weekend so wont find out for a while
  19. I've got the same idea Mick. But I watched a program not so long ago where permission was passed for a house to be built, on the condition that as soon as the business was finished the house had to come down ??
  20. Mark, you need some bigger gahooners mate, put your foot down and let her know who's boss. Anyone on here who's met our lass will tell you it me that wears the trousers in my house
  21. The best way forward then would be to ask for a copy of the terms and conditions from the particular company you are getting a quote from because the more "specailised" will have it in the small print whereas as most will not.
  22. The fact is if the insurance company don't specify then they can't refuse to pay. In car accidents, its very rare for an insurance company to not pay out to the driver who caused the accident
  23. Would you add tommers fee for planking onto the job or pay him out of your £600
  24. So if it is hollow, shook or full of iron you have to allow more time to get the butt out in rings, hence you should be charging the customer the time it takes you to plank, because if it doen't plank, your going to be moving the butt for nowt. Then the sale of the planks is pure bonus
