  1. I didn't think it was worth what he is asking, he reckoned it was £9K new Its a garden centre thats selling it so they are going to have the new price too much in mind
  2. 55ft long by 20ft wide no covering and buyer removes I'm thinking of having this the owner wants £1k for it ????? Bit awkward to get it out, access is crap Is it worth £1k or should I chip him
  3. Haaa top class Andy thats how it should be done That aside, whoever is wearing thoses chainsaw trousers must be lethal with a chainsaw having what looks like several unsuccessful attemps at leg amputation
  4. People dont stop because they are scared to stop, they are scared they may be faced with a scene from a horror movie. I am immune from this as I wake up next to something horrific every morning.. JOKE love
  5. Amenity schmenity It looks like a tree to most, it looks like a tree that needs felling to me
  6. Is that different loading to gale force wind loading
  7. Oooh, sound like just my cup of tea that !!
  8. It's amazing how thick people can be when confronted with something like that Dave, not stopping, driving around and not phoning 999 I came round a corner on a national speed limit road to find a scene of devastion. Immediately I got out of the car, asked if someone had dialled 999, told our lass to reverse the car with hazards on back round the corner to warn other cars. Then, believe it or not, went into BOTH cars and switch off the ignition, one car upside down the other on it's side. Casualties were then assessed to assertain whether or not injuries were life threatening and handed over to someone who turned up more qualified. I dont know what people think, but to me the first thing on coming across an accident is to secure the scene and make it safe. Nobody thought to warn oncoming traffic to stop them ploughing into the crash site, luckily I only drive as fast as my braking distance will allow
  9. It was an old dear but she was definately English, the tartan on that mug is the same as the shortbread tartan
  10. Haha, I never asked what the tea was but it was expertly made. The weather one minute was glorious sunshine, the next it was blizzards. ...and that cake was to die for, give me a bit of acid but who cares
  11. Nice one Matt, I was hoping you would come along and give your opinion Eight though, you won the lottery Where's that vid you had of yours??
  12. 1.Morning Tea break, on the hour every hour 2.Mini stunt fell 3.On the way back from first tip 4.Snow blizzard starts 5.George my groundy 6.Ooops, nearly (dont talk on phone when tipping)
  13. That looks cool Stevie, top class job there mate, specailly like the brown patches I've heard if you spray it with 50-1 glyphosate it will sort out the brown patches
  14. If you felt the tree was safe you wouldn't have used a rachet strap "just in case" when you climbed it. Included bark is not safe, there was someone killed here last year after being hit by a branch with an included union
  15. I was looking at something similar to this, but they were low profile and more leds at about £180 but I cant find them now. I was going to use a lightbar instead of the ones I'm buying but like Martin says, you have to remove them when your not with the vehicle otherwise they go walkies Martin, thanks for the info BTW
  16. That Ash wants to come down Tony !! I'd like to ask if there'd be anyone willing to sign their name to the guarantee that the tree is now deemed safe to the public.
  17. I never see sunsets at work, I'm always home by 3pm
  18. He's not normal John, you should've realised that by now surely
  19. You need to know the CD value, if your paying that for them you want at least 200cd, most you buy are around 100cd, I'd email them and ask Those on the link of mine are not much more and mega bright and normally retail at £90 each
  20. They have built in resistors or flash pattern I think Ed, I'll ask when I buy. The warning beacons will be built into the chipper electrics with an on/off switch so we can switch of when no on the highway
  21. Thanks for that Ed, been looking for a supplier locally The ones I'm fitting are warning beacons but I am fitting led light clusters next to the back of the chipper so I can get rid of a metal girder the standard ones are fitted to and save a bit of weight Difference with led beacons Steve or Lights for that matter is you can leave them on all day without flattening the battery
  22. Bumping an old thread here, but the leds you had were probably dull compared to the new generation leds. The old ones which I have on my landrover are around 60cd, I'm changing them this week for these 200cd ones Beaconline - SecuriLED I'm having 4 on the front of the landrover and one or two on the back of the chipper, I want to melt the paintwork of any approaching cars They are expensive, but you get what you pay for, I've had so called waterproof cheap ones which dont last two minutes
  23. He's got a cone on his head, how much high vis do you want
