  1. In Mozzside it will be refered to as a Jewlers counter smashing tool
  2. This is the cheapest place to get them LEDDirectional Going to mount of the oblong ones (securiled) along the roof bar ontop of the cab and then two square ones (vigiled) one under each headlamps
  3. You have led a very sheltered life
  4. I just ordered these leds for the Landy but didn't expect them to be so big, they're mega bright
  5. Only an amateur forgets his camera
  6. Aye but in the other two you dont need to be an hairdresser to drive them
  7. It's not just one bit of paperwork though is it, not if you are doing things right. I've just finished talking to my accountant asking him if he'd do my wages payroll for ONE employee because it's over the top of my head and more paperwork to worry about over and above all the other BS I have to put up with because I put him through college. I am already considering throwing the towel in and getting a proper job, I just need to work out the transition from huge overheads and machinary to a paid job with none, whilst still keeping my tree work capabilities to do weekend work
  8. I'd have been more impressed had it been fully loaded, it'll only weigh about 2.5 ton empty
  9. No I meant good idea, I mean if I try it on a really heavy big sycamore leaner and it works, I would be confident using it more often on not so heavy brittle wood leaners such as syc
  10. I'll try that cut on a really heavy leaner next time to test it to the limit
  11. I think it was Dave, I'll not be boring in future
  12. It was a nice thick hinge Dave and there was very very little lean on it. I was amazed to be honest
  13. My guess is that it hasn't had a brake service for a while ?? Got a TW150 in my workshop for a brake service, the lining on the shoes is only just thicker than paper Last one I did didn't have any lining and was braking metal to metal, it was that bad it had worn halfway through the drum.
  14. Aye, but it doesn't do your heart any good
  15. Felling a 2ft DBH syc today, little bit of side lean but nothing to worry about, I knew it would go 45 degrees off to the side when the hinge broke. Put the gob in, bored in then released and it just fell over 90 degrees to the hinge Hinge was deantastic, wood was good, no explanation ?? Luckily it rolled down the trees to the side which were to be felled and laid gracefully down with the tips brushing against a half built garage wall
  16. Thats why I keep service records, tacho doesnt say when a service is due or has been carried out
  17. Gob was far too deep I had a fell go wrong today
  18. My landrover does around 4 miles a day, I spend less time in my landrover than I do on the crapper. To me it is double standards, tachos should be used in ALL vehicles where the main activity is driving, ie whitevan delivery man. I'm bolloxed if I'm putting in a tacho for 10 minutes driving a day
  19. Wait till you have to pay for it calibrating
  20. 50km !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only work in a 5km radius of home If they made me fit a tacho I think I may give up the job and get a proper one. There's only so much BS you can take for the wage you earn and to be honest it's getting close now. I can go get a job paying 24K a year with no overtime, no phones ringing all hours, no sunday or evening pricing and no BS paperwork. I can then remove all the sign writing from my landrover, ditch my accountant, ditch my EL and PL insurance, ditch my loler testing, accident book, training record book, service record book, book keeping book and do cash in hand jobs, run on red and screw the tax man, just do one job a week and stick 4 or 5 hundred quid a week in my back pocket
  21. Takes a while doesn't it Johnny Painting black tar into fissures on the bark with an artists brush
  22. Hahaha, just had a look out of the window Mike...... definately a defender 130
