  1. Reason I ask is because I have a shelf in my workshop which is full of new Flymo electric motors and some of thos plates that went underneath with the shaft that the blade fitted to and the electro clutch bit. I was going to scrap them but if you can make use of them I'd bring them with me and give them to you, if you can get anything out of them I'd be chuffed rather than scrapping them. I dont want owt for them
  2. Justin, do you sell or repair flymo electric mowers
  3. how do you work that one out its very clear imo i have never disposed of any of my woodchip it has all gone to gardens as mulch plus it would all go for bio fuel if ot mulch woodchip is a valuable resouce not waste
  4. I have stevie, but 20 years ago mate The answer is fault finding in silence, build up the air with a compressor air line and listen for leaks, it's obviously escaping to atmosphere so just needs to find out where and follow back
  5. It should be quite simple to follow from the comressor and eliminate one item at a time
  6. You need to build the air up without the engine running, like has been suggested, with a big compressor and fault find that way, you cant hear air leaks with an engine pounding away It does sound like the pressure relief valve
  7. Thats not a border tag Tom, its a lost luggage tag.
  8. Nah, can't be him, he's to sign out of scotland and he's hasn't been out for a wee while
  9. Cheers Tom, just amended it, doh:thumbup1: Been a hard week and it isn't over yet
  10. Sign thats going up. NOTICE WOODCHIP IS CURRENTLY FREE FOR PEOPLE WHO COLLECT IT. HOWEVER, SOME INDIVIDUALS HAVE BEEN REWARDING MY GENEROSITY BY BRINGING ALONG THEIR GARDEN WASTE TO DUMP, INCLUDING RUBBLE, BOTTLES, GRASS SODS, BOTTLES, PLANT POTS, BUILDERS BAGS AND BUCKETS TO NAME A FEW IF THIS TREND CONTINUES, FREE WOODCHIP WILL CEASE AND PUBLIC ACCESS TO THIS AREA WILL BE STOPPED
  11. I'm going to put a sign up basically shaming them and telling them if it continues, free chip will cease and public access to the area will be stopped
  12. This is how people repay me for providing them with a valuable resourse of free woodchip. They bring along their garden waste, bags of rubble, grass sods, clippings, old flowerpots, old roots, builders bags, pop cans and beer bottles to dump before they fill up with free chip. This is just one days worth, my patience is wearing thin
  13. You must have got your birthday wrong Pete, you dont get stiffys at 46+
  14. You cant see on the photo but the stubs were down three foot or so they were just collapsing as you walked along them
  15. It says rotten stubs. The cut stems that you walk along were all rotten had to keep tied in at all timesbecause they kept giving way and then the conifers themselves were too widely spaced making getting across difficult. Then there were trees planted infront of the connies so when you throw bits out they got caught up in the trees Basically everything that makes trimming conifer hard work all in one place
  16. I'll give the mole plough a go and also lime it, going to get a PH test kit for the areas with vegetation and lime it exactly
  17. Hahaha, google Cloud pruning Andy
  18. I'm 46 mark, after 45 that doesn't happen anymore, it shrivels up and is no longer used.......or am I confusing it for when you get married ??
  19. This may come as a shock to you Tony, but I do have on my desk, not more than 1 foot away, a Jordan Encyclopedia of Fungi
  20. Pulled this ring out from under a chip pile to split and it was covered in this silk like web of fungus. Mycelium ???
  21. I'm just going to keep mowing the brassed area to a lawn type standard, then maybe let it out for camping and such. I'm going to dig a test hole but I recon the soils only about a foot thick, I dug a couple of telegraph poles in for fence strainers and under the soil was like shaley rock, dry as a bone and soft enough to dig through
  22. Gladiators Type A Same problem as Mozz though, inside of big pocket gets wet through
  23. Problem with drain lee is : I can dig a trench then dig a hole one foot away from the trench, I can then fill the hole with water and it will stay there and not migrate through the soil to the trench because the clay is that heavy
