  1. Now now Stevie, no need for that
  2. For domestic work a landrover 130 and tracked barrow For commercial a 4x4 lorry with 60ft reach remote hiab like hucks
  3. Had another look today. The fault is one of the legs will not lift electronically through the electrically operated spool valve so when I need to lift leg number three I have to operate the manual lever on the spool. Suspected the solonoid on the spool, that was ok but found one of the wires that should go live when the button is pressed doesn,t, spent 20 minutes tracing it back through the machine and found this wire, still in it's socket but not tightened in Wonder how long the suppliers technician would have booked on that fault. I'm awesome me .....!!!!
  4. Oops, sorry Tony, thats you using those big words again
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought honey fungus was a natural rotting mechanism ever present in the soil where there is organic matter to break down and trees only sucumb to it if there is a weakness or wound, sort of a natural survival of the fitest.
  6. Something to bear in mind
  7. It scattered debris a fair old distance Tim, way past the ticka tape
  8. Yes he did that too. He had been going round pubs and clubs for years and the crowds were always mesmerised, I'm suprised he hasn't become well known sooner, I reckon it's 20 years since I saw him
  9. Yes I saw him do all the above as well in Bradford many many years ago
  10. I cant remember but if I did I think I should have learned my lesson then
  11. So my accountant has worked out tax on the whole £21K Thats an error I would make, not what you'd expect from an accountant
  12. No your wrong again, it is possible to make a profit, not "fiddle" the books and only clain totally legal allowances and not pay any tax. I made £21k profit and paid 20% income tax on that profit. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression you dont pay tax on the first £5k or is that the first £5k earned and not profit
  13. We're going to be nick naming you Richard Branson soon mate
  14. Nice one justin, see....it does still work
  15. Paul, I use simplex D account books and file all the receipts in order inbetween each page and put everything down in the columbs, I just dont add up the totals. Everything I know is done for him and to me all he has done is add the totals up and send them in. Thats why I asked him why I am paying him, I have already done all that
  16. Thats not a problem if she was working, my daughter could do them instead. The point here is there are totally legal and allowable expenses, that was just an example
  17. My missus can earn £5k without paying tax
  18. I hear what your saying Rich but they should be able to work out something on square footage divided by total square footage of the whole building ??
  19. I'm going to see how my linching meeting goes with him, he will know in no uncertain terms that he needs to work much harder for his money. But I may come back to you on that TCD, I can always post my books on no worries
  20. No fiddling, all totally legal allowable expenses as TCD as just listed above
  21. Thats not true, you can still make a good profit and pay no tax. Such as paying your wife to do the books, there's lots you can claim that comes back to you, I just need to know what
  22. I didn't know you could back claim Nepia, thanks for that I'm hopefully going to see my accountant within a week to strangle him and tie him to the ceiling by his toes
  23. That was pathetic Stevie I expect more from you
  24. I dont know, thats what I'm asking
  25. Due to a useless expensive accountant I have just received a tax bill for £4K with another £2K to pay in Jan. I think my accountant is just crunching the numbers I give him instead of looking for more allowable expenses to claim I only made a profit of £21K this year. I'm talking of unusual things you wouldn't normally think of claiming that you are legally entitled to, say for example: electricity for the office in the house Work T shirts a wage for the wife doing the books sandwiches for lunch etc etc Just for those of us that are self employed it would be good to know what exactly we can and cant claim for. I dont think we should be paying tax on such small profits when we are knackering our bodies to earn it, it's not as if we sit there with nothing but a calculator and charge £600 for a couple of hours work. I dont intend paying any tax next year and aim to claim for anything and everything I possibly can.
