  1. Tree surgery waste is a nightmare, I reckon you'd do that stuff on a processor in a day
  2. This is the reason I bought an endoscope. If there are any woodpecker holes it's dead easy then to give them a quick check before we start. I've got an Oak in my wood with about 7 wood pecker holes in it which has alerted me to a potentail problem with the tree, although it looks plush and dandy at the moment, it's a potentail failure roadside
  3. She just doesn't want to hurt your feelings mate
  4. You may be rolling off satisfied, but is she ???
  5. Using a prussic when you can use a VT is like using a footpump when you have a compressor
  6. Thats easy to solve. Yes madame that will cost a little more, and a bit more, and just a bit more
  7. Nice Simon,, I've been meaning to stick some on mine for the last two years On a tangent I know but how did you get on with the landy head
  8. Tachyons fine, I had a brand new 13mm rope sat on the shelves for about 2 years so decided to see if it worked better with the Lockjack.....it didn't make a difference
  9. Cheers for that Rich, saves me a lot of greif that

  15. Its the roblon 8mm I am using at the moment I think, found a piece in my garage. I like the look and feel of the ocean polyester, was looking at it at the show I'll have a go with the ice next week
  16. What cord and size of cord do you used Steve ?
  17. On the subject of VT does anyone use Samson Ice tail for VT cord ?
  18. Just the jerkiness on descent and the lack of control when branch leaping Tommy
  19. After using the lockjack for the last three or four years I have gone back to the VT today and found it a breath of fresh air. Nice and controllable compared to LJ. The only downside is up 12" down 4" and dressing the knot before loading, but I can live with that. The LJ was very jerky on descending or pushing off and down to another branch I might not go back
  20. If you took the Roman Chariot Spikes off your wheel hubs they may not give you as wide a berth
  21. I went to price a job the other day and the neighbour (who wanted the tree cut in half) was keen to point out that the last Tree surgeon stung the tree owner because they hardly took anything off, when he got home from work it wasn't much different. I was itching to tell him it was me. The client wanted a reduction keeping the shape and form of the tree, the neighbour wanted it lopping. It was a painstaking ball ache of a reduction (20%) done with silky and secutares, the ignorant turd
