  1. It looks like a very old machine, the specs are totally different now.
  2. You can also do your utility tickets at Kingswood, you will also do a business plan and an NVQ in business studies. If its what you want you will have a very good start in the industry.
  3. What about using an arbrolley or a Stien arb trolley?
  4. The only problem with those is you have to make sure you don't leave wet gear in them or it goes mouldy! Very durable though.
  5. +1, I also tell them if I have to move it I will charge them for the pleasure!
  6. I keep all my gear in them, ropes in one, rigging gear in another and climbing gear in another. The ones I use are the tyre rubber ones not the tub rugs, they are crap in comparison . I do use the covers though, they stop the tubs getting full of chip and water.
  7. These are the lids I use on the tyre rubber tubs: http://www.containerama.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=266
  8. No worries! I am sure Reg wouldn't mind the high jack
  9. When the section is committed to going over I sever the hinge, this eliminates the force of the timber pushing you backwards and giving you a ride. I like it and I'm sure it's not for everyone. Make sure it's committed before you sever the hinge!
  10. That's right but with the inverted gob there is no chance of the two surfaces meeting if the cuts are wide enough. For the two to meet the timber would be not far of 90 degrees by which time you have severed the hinge and off it pops.
  11. I use the humbolt cut a lot and I prefer it. The top goes over more and then I sever the hinge with no danger of a sit back and it pops off.
  12. What about these?: http://www.log-loc.co.uk/
  13. I use recycled tyre rubber tubs, they are ubber strong and will not degrade with sunlight. I also use a nylon cover to keep out the rain. They are about 3 times the price of your builders merchant ones but they will last forever unlike the builders ones. I can leave my tubs at the base of the tree safe in the event of a lump hitting it. You will of course need a trolley or Stien thingy or like me just carry them! http://www.containerama.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=147
  14. Yes, hard wearing, expensive but quality.
  15. who's gonna fit it and sign it off? That could be your budget and more.
  16. You could try OP or AP, both very good on abrasion.
  17. Any fan can change the airflow in the room. I believe tumble dryers may also be coming onto the list.
  18. Can't view it on my phone.
  19. Have a read of this: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/35120-best-log-burner-my-circumstances.html
  20. I wouldn't recommend going in a MEWP at this stage, I don't like them, far too much bounce and as said you will feel much more content with a rope and harness tied in a tree!
  21. A healthy respect for heights and the tree is not a bad thing! The day you loose the respect will be the day you have an accident through complacency!
