  1. I haven't tried it on the lower rings yet, must give it a go!
  2. Peter, looking at your pic I see your lanyard is connected to the leg loops of the treemotion. having read the wife guide that came with my rig I did notice it says you can use them for connecting into. Do you use the connection or is it only for the pic? Whats the advantage if you do use them?
  3. whats your opinions on these? which do you like best and why? Whats the disadvantages if any? A friction hitch is cheaper and works but adjusting under load can be difficult. Any Thoughts please.

  11. You can use the space in a double cab for storage. make sure you use a box or lash it down though!
  12. Listen to what the examiner as asked you to do inboard/outboard etc. position yourself and try the cut with the saw off. if its not right change till it is. Relax, enjoy the day, good luck!
  13. a standard caving srt set is just a croll, sling over the chest and a hand ascender with a foot loop and a set of cows tails. Where possible the kit is carried in a rope bag to protect it in the harsh enviroment. This kit can take some hammer but must be looked after after the decent and checked prior to entering the abys.
  14. Nice link, would it have happened on a single line? Looking at the pics makes you think though, perhaps a hitch as a back up might not be a bad idea?
  15. Would that have happened on a single line?
  16. Never used a back up hitch whilst caving, only relied on the other device be it hand and chest. I am not saying it is wrong to use a back up just never have in caving. a fall from a cave could kill just as easy as a fall from a tree.
  17. He sells all Arb gear and some!

  23. Just spent an afternoon removing some major ivy from a LA Oak. I've walked past this tree every day for 6 months and I decided enough is enough! Only took a couple of hours with a silky. I previously cut the bases a couple of weeks ago. my wife thinks i'm mad as it doesn't belong to me or even a paying customer. As far as I'm concerned its everybodys tree!
