  1. Wow Matt, that's lit up like a Christmas tree! No excuses for someone not to see you! Have you added an extra loom and battery and I can't remember if you said they are LED?
  2. That's why I use the compression straps on my Tree motion. I would struggle to get it out my self in an emergency but it will always be there for rescue situations where the groundy always knows there will be one!, it would make sense to carry a field dressing in my pocket along with my hemostats.
  3. A couple of pics, one in the first aid pouch on the Tree Motion and a couple of the emergency dressings.
  4. Ok, I will post the details of where and who to send the cheques to. I will post some pics later today. Steve do you want to let it run for a couple of weeks before you do the draw?
  5. Looks like your the only one so far!

  9. There is a nice country park not to far away. You can walk through the deer park and get very close to the Red and fallow. Wellington Country Park. I will google it. http://www.wellington-country-park.co.uk/
  10. A little more info, found a UK firm that sell them for a fiver less postage. http://www.boundtree.co.uk/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1627 All money goes to "The Parachute Regiment Central Bank" I DO NOT RECIEVE ANY OF THE MONEY!
  11. Before I start please excuse this unsolicited request for charity! I live in a garrison town which has recently lost seven members of the Parachute regiment in the Afghan conflict. I would like to try and raise money in aid of the families of the deceased and for injured of which there are many. I have been given 30 of the new Field dressing or Emergency bandage which are the perfect emergency first aid kit for arborists. Details of the bandage can be found here; http://www.firstcareproducts.com/apage/9836.php These have an expiry date of 11/2012 These replaced the old first field dressings (ffd)and are the latest product for trauma wounds. I think the old ffd is between £5-10 but could be more?. If you would like to donate with a chance to win one let me know and I will post more details. I will get Steve to do the draw and the first 30 out of the hat will win one. Many thanks!

  14. I had a late start, good lunch and a nice steady day! I tried to work it around the nursery school so not to disturb the mums! It was safer letting the little uns out in the car park rather than the road. shadow cast, you need to get out more Dean.
  15. These cuts were made some time ago and are browned off. Glen good idea, never thought of finding out why the rest hadn't been done. Don't know if I could live with the thought that somebody might think I did this if i were to get the job of sorting it!
  16. Had a large lime to thin this week, had a little surprise when my secondary anchor point failed on me! It was a good TIP al least 4-5 inch diameter. Managed to get my strop on before it went so no harm done.
  17. Saw this in a grave yard yesterday, It has been done some time ago but the pile of logs is still there. Why have they not removed it completely as well as the arisings?
  18. Dean the answer is simple, Make the groundy sign a contract to the fact that if you pay for his qualifications and he leaves within say a year he has to pay the money back!
  19. Whatever GPS you choose make sure it has Sirf 3 Technology. This will give you a reception under any canopy and even in a building down to + - 3M

  22. Your vote could help us to win a National Lottery Award! We have been nominated for a National Lottery Award! The Armed Forces Memorial at The National Memorial Arboretum is competing against nine other projects in the Best Heritage Project category. To win this Award we need your votes! The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects. The aim is to celebrate and recognise the difference that those projects have made to people, places and communities across the UK. Winning the award will help us to further commemorate the brave service people who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. It will also help acknowledge the suffering of the families and loved ones left behind, including those affected by current conflicts. Please take a minute to vote by visiting http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards From there, click on the Best Heritage Project category and vote for us. Alternatively you can call 0845 386 4459 to register your phone vote. Voting continues until Friday 4 July. Vote for us and please send to all your contacts. Every vote counts!
