  3. You could break down the costs. Your insurance is £630. To insure sub contractors £1575 an extra £945. Divide this by the number of weeks worked to het a weekly cost the divide by number os subies. All you then have to do is deduct the insurance from the sub contractors invoice. Depending on how many subies you have it could be expensive for the subie!

  14. use a ladder for access, strop in, climb the tree as high as you dare go and either use a rope guide or a cambium saver with a couple of wraps around the main stem, decend and work back up. Be very carefull of re-growth!
  15. I have been thinking about putting a set on my Fs 400.
  16. Don't know if this is the same: normal gob cut, then make a plunge cut half way through the tree up to the hinge then back all the way out. Wedge/felling bar in the back. Cut under wedge forward to complete the hinge. Lift felling bar or hammer home wedge. This cut can be used to fell trees against the direction of lean.
