  1. Am I ever going to get my Treemotion?
  2. were are you Winger? There is a Major franchise just up the road from me. Have you enough work to justify buying a machine and do your customers want stump grinding as well. I think a lot of customers baulk if you give an all up price including grinding!?

  6. I use the caritool to short clipby 200 but I use a couple of clip gate crabs for my slings etc. I just slide them down the belt.
  7. I like the sound of a chair with a G&T holder!
  8. I thought as the customer had lost a nice tree I would give them a nice sentimental reminder for the new deck area to overlook the stunning views! I won't be doing any more for free though as it did take me the best part of 2 hours!
  9. The customer was happy to say the least especialy as i did it for free
  10. I wanted to do more but as i said broke the spring on my clutch! I would reccomend a smaller bar though 20 " is a little dificult. The next door neighbour wanted me do do one for her but as I had no saw i got away with it! haven't got a clue what i would have charged anyway?
  11. I've got one and I use it, although now its getting warmer I will just use a high vis vest! I realy like the zip up collar that stops all the chips getting down your top!
  12. Before:A small walnut which had to be removed due to fire damage several years ago! After: my attempt at a Fungi! 20" bar didn't help and neither did braking the spring on my clutch of my Husky!:cussing:
  13. Judge might know he's in Farsley.
  14. Just got a job with a crows nest in one of the 3 trees. The jobs now 3 days insted of 2 as I have to go back to do the offending tree when they have fledged! Don't know if I can even take a look in the nest to see if its sitting on eggs? If its not sitting on eggs can i remove the nest?
  15. Matt, I was not having a go at you! I have seen the threads on your set up, very nice! it was a generalisation for every body i know i've done it at least once!
  16. Be carefull of your kit flying around if you brake hard! If you do store it in a crew cab at least use a net to secure it down or even better a tool box with a lockable lid.
  17. Met the Tree Officer today, realy nice man! He explained the mistake was with the general planning office has he is the only person with any tree experience and is only in the office in the morning. Moral of the story, double check always!
  18. Welcome to the cyber world Richard! About time!
  19. Not yet! I will give Rob a ring tomorrow.
  20. I was asked to price a job the other day so as usual I checked the LPA web site. No restrictions shown. Did a site visit, got the job, re-checked the site and then rang the LPA to confirm no restrictions. I was told its in a conservation area! When I told them I was looking at the site whilst on the phone I was told their internal site shows a restriction but some how the external web site does not! I was not happy! The question is if i had carried out the work on the information on the site would or could I be liable? The tree officer gave me the link.
