  12. All I did was put the strap through the plastic buckle as if it were on your leg. Put a little tension on the strap and sew as close to the buckle as possible.
  13. The drain on the battery should minimal as its not actually going to power anything, its just a remote switch.

Fertiliser (high in nitrogen) and diesel makes explosive! Could be interesting. I score inside the bark line with a saw, perhaps 10mm deep, then just put it in the groove, liberally, dry. If rain is forecast. stick a bucket, plant pot or a pre-cut ring of wood from the stump on it to stop it washing off. Thanks 18 Stoner.
  17. Good point. I was taught to always look to compress the limb down the grain as opposed to across the grain for Rigging. If a limb comes out from the stem at 45 degrees or what ever angle have the main rigging pulley and re direct pulley/crane point so that the angle of the rope is the same going into the redirect/crane point as it is leaving the redirect/crane point. This means the limb would be compressed. In some circumstances the main pulley would be lower than the redirect/crane point. Vector forces. I cant see why you could not use this for anchor points as long as the angles match. Good point steve, Like the tip!
  18. Biiiiiiiiiiiiig garden!

Do you just apply salt to a wet stump, or do you dillute, make a paste or what? How much do you need?
  20. Jonesie, Got the saw in under 24hrs! well done:grinning-smiley-003
  21. Has anyone had any problems with their Saw Pod? Its a great bit of kit but i've just had to do a modification to it. Basicly where the plastic feed is i've had to sew an extra seem to stop the plastic feed spinning and acting like a tornique when you pull the velcro tight! Now the feed stays in place and you get a nice wide strap to spread the pressure. Great bit of kit!

  23. There is a fleece product which is waterproof and breathable. Its made by a company in Scotland called Nomad. http://nomaduk.net/products.htm I have one for shooting :owned:and its brilliant although it is a fleece and i am not sure how long it would last in tree work. On the plus side it is repaired by a spot of fabric glue. Even I can manage that! They make short jackets, long coats etc etc. Worth a look, give Phillip a call.
  24. Just as I expected! Top man.
