  1. I’ve just been put on our councils approved contractors list – i.e. I’m council and I’m on my own list!! Great! ££££££’s

  5. First the AA show and now Capel - Whats wrong with these people??
  6. I'm usually logged on about 7.30am at work. Its not so much the early mornings for me, more the late nights....God I have difficulty waking up sometimes!
  7. Next time give them the link to this thread with the quotation.
  8. What model Silky is it? Is it the Silky Apple with the tapered blade by any chance?
  9. Can you do that again, this time with an 0200.
  10. That’s forward and responsible thinking Tom. I don’t top Poplars, Lombardy or otherwise – the vigorous re-growth, tight unions and associated decay and poor compartmentalisation just don’t make it worth it. Personally I wish people would wake up to the fact that the urban landscape is ever-changing and constantly evolving, be it trees, or buildings. Poplars should be left to grow to their optimum size without topping, their self-optimising structures and should be left alone. Then, when they've reached their optimum height…….fell the buggers and re-plant.
  11. Only kidding...... Nice job BTW
  12. ....meaning I look a sad, miserable bugger (language toned down for fear of upsetting the boss). That’s what 3 years of separation does to you! Seriously though, nice to meet you today mate. If any of you other guys fancy going to these seminars, start buying your trees from Barchams. Today was completely free! (If this was ran by the AA God-knows how much they would have charged) http://www.barcham.co.uk/
  13. Only third!? haha, it was worth the 320 mile trip just to get that shot (looks much better full-screen)
  14. Odd time of year to do it..? (Here we go again!)
  15. I was just about to post....'No pics..?'
  16. Candid photos are 'in' this season.
  17. Just a few random pics from today’s seminar….. Pic One…Carrying out a soil drainage test (see anyone you know?) Pic Two…Discussing the advantages of using resistographs. Pic Three. Using a resistograph to determine/prove internal crack on a weak union. Pic Three and Four.. Just examples of Barchams excellent tree stock.
  18. See what you mean about the seating!!
  19. I think thats something the local dog brought up mate! Did you sniff it??
  20. Just so you can compare them on the same thread.
  21. I would as well but I'm busy at Barchams..
