  1. Well I just managed to pick up a pto pumped splitter on eBay. It's all working but I think I will convert it to be a vertical splitter so I can move the rings around instead of having to pick them up in pieces. Will look to make it foot operated too. Ps that's not me in the picture, I'm taller and balder.
  2. Great thank you. Looks professional and not Agri at all. Thanks for the photos as my brain isn't particularly engineering so I need pics.
  3. I'd love to see pictures. Mainly of the self return gubbins and the foot pedal please.

    No oak???

Ok I did the drop this morning. I didn't sift through the log pile much and he got a handful of oak logs in there but 2 years old. The stove he's had fitted is a merlin 4.5kw, he said it has a double burn system so needs to burn hot and oak is too cool for it. The installer has put a 3 metre flue above his roof to comply with building regs apparently. He said to be honest he didn't know the different woods in the log pile so I said don't worry and just enjoy your fire. Thanks for all the comments guys.

    No oak???

Hi all, just got a log order to go out this Saturday. He asks what wood it is I say you name it it's in there. Beech, birch, ash, cherry, oak, elm, little bit of cypress. He tells me the new stove he has fitted isn't allowed to burn oak! No oak or pine the installer said. Anyone shed any light on this or are the installers trying to frighten new customers into not actually using there new stoves?
