  1. Here are my two. the little yellow one is older than me, ie older then 34 years. It splits anything and i love it but i have had my eye on the bigger one at a local timber merchant for a couple of years and finally managed to buy it from him 2 weeks ago. Its knee operated and looks like youre dancing when in use. So quick too. I can split 6 ton in less than 2 hours which for me is plenty quick enough.
  2. Say no more Tommer. Great setup
  3. Had many bots over the years but just picked up this little boat for playing on the river. Little lad falls asleep to the sound of the outboard every time!
  4. Very nice tcd. Any tractor that turns its own wheels is worth hanging on to. I look forward to seeing it in action.
  5. Just to keep you posted, I got the bugger going. I just started again, bleeding to filter then to inj pump then injectors. Thank god for that. Nice to have her back as the fire site was getting a bit full.
  6. Spudulike, that is the kind of experienced answer I was hoping id get on here. I will try starting and operating the throttle if I have trouble and see how I get on. Thank you.
  7. Ah, well it's a simple place to start thank you. Will pop one on the shopping list.
  8. Hi guys I have a 2006 440 stihl which I have used for years as only saw for first 3 years of doing this job. Now it only comes out on just in case jobs, ie if it's bigger than my 261 will handle then the 660 or 880 come out. If I attempt tomstartbthe 440 and she fires then I'm away but have to keep her running as if she dies on tick over she may not go again. If I miss the initial start up fire and pull it again she floods and that's it for the day then. No matter how much drying of the plug I do makes her go. Any ideas on how I can make her a bit more reliable again?
  9. Ok got there this morning and it would turn over at all, turns out the starter was burnt out in trying to bleed it up. Bloody thing. Will fit manual hand pump inline and get it as far as I can before cranking again. Thanks guys Will report back.
  10. Yep filled it up. Will have another go tomorrow and do the pump first then inj. Just wanted to check there was no magic reset button I was missing.
  11. Hi guys I let my chipper run dry of fuel as it was on a steep driveway and conked out. I have tried re bleeding system and fitted a new filter. There is no manual primer on it so cracking off the injectors and cranking on the key but not having any joy. Has anyone had and experience bleeding these suckers up?
  12. Mine is rubbish, 300tdi 130 on MUDs with full width intercooler returns about 15-18mpg. Love to hate it at the moment. Wouldn't do without it.
  13. Quick pic from phone. No roof but I do have half height sides and bulkhead and just fitted a grab to the crane then pto cable bloody snapped!! Synchro on 3rd is shot so may be taking box to bits myself sooner rather than later.

    Stock fence

Been pulling with a tractor to the desired tension. Nail a post through a roll or two at the end and pull on that.
  15. I started to offer fencing last summer just as I never like to say no. It really helped fill the gap when I wasnt as busy trimming hedges like I had been the years before. It's lead to bigger and better jobs and a more rounded service offered by me. I'm currently doing a 16 acre field stock proofing it all and have had 4 tree jobs out of the same estate. Bought my self a lovely little Same tractor and post knocker to save my shoulders!
  16. Great thanks guys, I will finish this job then take the ram off and get some new seals from a local hydraulic place then. Super. Regards Ed
  17. Hi guys and girls, does anyone repair their own rams? I have just bought a fence post rammer and the ram is weeping so need to fix it sooner rather than later. Any advice welcome.
  18. Nearly bought a zetor a few months prior. Thanks for the comments on the same. Didn't mean to hijack a thread but will chase up the leads for a loader. Here is the new meeting the old.
  19. Nice tractor man, lovely loader too. Just bought a new 4x4 Same to play with. On the hunt for a loader now.
  20. Best of luck and may be in touch.
  21. Nope it's a splitter home made and bolted on.
  22. My neighbour has this telehandler and when I followed him down the road I spotted a splitter on the back. Any use to you for an idea?
  23. I had one of the new ones and yes I believe they all do this but also seem to think there is a dealer fix so worth giving them a call perhaps.
  24. I knew she went to a good home. Well done mate
