  1. As the vehicle is over 3500kg it must be tested at one of the VOSA test stations- on the day of your test you can ask to have the vehicle tacho exempt, a simple self explanitory A4 form to tick a box and sign at the end ( go for the Forestry/agricultural Box).BUT being over 3500kg you will need an Operators Licence, albeit a restricted one (orange disk)
  2. Just swap to standard 16" rims for shogun 3.2, shed loads on ebay, paid £120 for 5 rims and reasonable tyres.
  3. Yep all systems go for tomorrow- give me a rough location, roads name etc

  4. Hi Mate , one of my chaps has pulled a sickie for monday( he will be out of a job at end of week!!) need to cover for him- will have to start yours on Tuesday- call me

  5. In receding order of size; U1600 Mog, Iveco 49 10 4x4 tipper, 300tdi Disco, SWB Shogun Commercial,TD4 Freelander
  6. The make of winch is called COME UP:scared1: Google it you will get one much cheaper, does the job, not recomended for day in day out winching though
  7. Recently purchased a few bits of equiptment from Holland and Italy, their economies are suffering also, consequntly the respective dealers are offering tempting discounts- UK dealers should be able to take advantage of these and pass them on to us. In my own case it more than made up for the poor exchange rate
  8. Think the washing line suffered the same fate:scared1:
  9. Scrap it and buy a Shogun:001_tongue:
  10. Yep, low range , manual rear diff lock, free wheeling hubs at front, 70 on the road
  11. Iveco 40 10 4x4?
  12. Dean, you wont need a rubber sheet( unless you have a rubber fixation:vroam:) the first one we built using GRP, the body is nearly 14 years old now and the chap chips into it with a 18 inch Morbark and looks almost as good as new
  13. Ive just orderd a load of alloy planking off servicemetals to build a chipbox for our Mog, each panel will be 2m wide by 2m high- the planking comes in 20cm strips and slots together to give a smooth finish- hope to post pictures of the body build as it progresses
  14. Sorry forgot to add, the GRP panelling we have used is called dry freight- you can buy the alloy edging and finishing strips from both suppliers also- very easy to use a good weekend will see the job done-
  15. Look up servicemetals.co.uk- will supply the Glasssonite you require or another company we have used called C.V.R, lost their details so may need to Google them. 11mm Glassonite is perfect for what you need
  16. Have a 3.2 DiD SWB auto, one word- SUPERB:thumbup1:
  17. One end of rope, bowline and tie your own prussik- plenty of free-climbing and a sharp pair of spikes:001_tongue:

  20. Done a lot of work for Witley over the years- don`t think you will have to work too hard for your money:
  21. Superb machines- had one push along Little david and two self propelled Promark- 25hp Kohler would outgrind 1625 Rayco for fun: but dangerous in the wrong hands scared1:
  22. Thought you were joking mate when you said you were selling the Iveco- oh well a bargain for someone:001_tt1:
  23. K.P.M.G are the appointed administrators, best to contact them direct at nearest local office- hope this helps
  24. Blue Nun and Dairylea !!
  25. I have an 03 Swb auto commercial, superb in every way. the 3.2 diesel can be rather juicy if driven hard, but will outperform most 4x4 on the road. I also run a Discovery commercial with all the off road goodies fitted and the Shogun will run rings around it in the mud! even on BFG AT tyres. The Uk supplied ones only have a towing weight of 2.7t for the swb, some imported ones have the 3.5t max weight to match the lwb model.Genuine parts can be a tad pricey, aftermarket ones are much cheaper- but it doesnt go wrong so costs should be minimal one last thing the turning circle has got to be seen to be believed, will do a 2 point turn where a Nissan Micra needs 3 shunts!!
