  1. Not really. That not exactly solid evidence, hearsay maybe. People swear homeopathy works, but I don't believe myself. I'm sure diet may help, but I'm pretty sure its not as simple as that. As always only my personal opinion
  2. Sorry David I had worn Haix boots for 13+ years, my feet had always been toasty and warm, but they never last more than 12 months. Last time I needed new boots I bought Meindl's, as so many on here rated they they are awful, cold, uncomfortable monstrosities never again!!! The worst thing is they really do last, so I'm waiting for them to give up, so I can buy some more Haix.
  3. I bet his feet are cold!!
  4. 100% not Elm.
  5. In all honesty if the client is unhappy with the trees lean, why not just fell and replant.
  6. really? you got any evidence to back this up????
  7. Not sure my Mrs would sign that one off
  8. Very honest post eggs I get fed up and lose my motivation from time to time, but think I'm lucky that I don't get real depression. My mum has suffered from it for much of her life breaking her neck and becoming a quadriplegic has not really helped. When I am down I find physical exercise really helps, there are many days when I really don't feel like getting out of bed and going to work, but once I'm on site, up a tree, I feel 100% better. Life ain't easy, hope you shoot the black dog real soon eggs
  9. Its mostly plants apparently, not that many dinosaurs. There was some interesting stuff about oil on the radio the other day. One of the oil Sheiks had a very good answer when asked about peek oil, after a long pose he said "the stone age did not end because they ran out of stones"
  10. Thats very good of you
  11. The sling giving up may have been a blessing in disguise, far better than the crane going over. Glad no one was hurt or any damage caused.
  12. Bastards!!! Sorry to read this Timon, hope you get her back.
  13. You worry too much.
  14. On here, nothing, its the internet. I give thought to the opinion of people I respect, what others think of me really is of little interest to me.
  15. No deflection, if you genuinely don't know the difference trying to explain it would be a waste of my time and yours. My comment was an explanation for your ignorance, thats all.
  16. You obviously don't have children (going by many of your posts your probably not old enough anyway)
  17. Are you for real???
  18. Indeed……
  19. Back to the original Visio, looked to me like the pick was just too big, why did you go from pretty concervative lifts to what looked to be a huge section of trunk?
  20. This is what I want! Taking back until all damage is gone dramatically reduces the life of the blades. This is a chipper, not a plane, nicks and notches should not really affect its performance. I been annoyed in the past when firms have removed masses of metal just to get a perfect edge, there really is no need, IMO.
  21. No it isn't, its just the reality of trying something new. No one can know exactly how things will pan out, but self belief and some positivity will go a very, very long way, IMO.
  22. Really I must have missed those! All I read is sour grapes and false predictions.
  23. I'm not sure that's actually how it works, often the trade in price is a very healthy one, you lose the cash discount on your new machine, so selling privately will be better. The dealer often simply look to recoup the trade in price, plus a like to cover the warranty. Will you be offering a similar warranty to the one offered by a dealer?
