  4. I heard its known as little Holland,as its so full of dikes, lovely place with a great little cinema.
  5. LOL! its funny cause its true!
  6. That was one BIG tree, nicely done!
  7. Nice one,are we going to finally start to catch up with the USA with type of work,I hope so,good luck!
  8. Ah! if you have tool cover that makes a big difference,i pay £2300,for 10M EL and 5MPL.
  9. It is just as it sounds, a "statement" of the "method" you are going to use to carry out the job.
  10. If the sh1t hits the fan this will not stand,i've been there, unless you are not on site with them, let them do the job when they want, and they make more money out of the job than you. If any of these are not the case then in the eyes of the HSE you are there employer.
  11. Sounds to me that you'll be fine cutting up the stuff on the floor:icon14:
  12. I would say you MUST wear chainsaw protection, pants ect, and read up on kick back ect,and if you know some one with chainsaw experience, get them to give you a half hour of basic training on cross cutting
  13. I don't think any of use think we are any smarter than you,but its hard to give advice without worrying that we might be encouraging some one to do something that could get them hurt or worse,so we all tend to be a bit cagey. I was not surgesting you pay some one to do the work just give you a hand,i would be much happier about giving advice face to face where i can show them what i mean and know i won't be misunderstood
  14. That sounds like a better plan than mine
  15. Please don't feel this way,i think most of us on here either know some one or of some one,who has been killed or badly hurt doing tree work, and they are people with years of experience. I knew a guy with 17 years in the job who was killed felling. If i were you i would have a ring round your local firms and see if you can pay some one to give you a hand.
  16. You could take the tops down to the old cuts, leave till you get some regen, then cut the sides.
  17. Pecon, this has not been my experience, when ever i have got a quote they have always asked if i have my tickets, but when i have claimed they have never asked.
  18. What so they can say your not covered? I don't get it?
