  1. They are! Its going to cost THEM a fortune to get shut! Don't know about you, but I am VERY expensive when it comes to shifting stuff someone else has cut!
  2. Go on Dean place a bid! you know you want to! Tell you what, if you want it I won't bid !
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/load-of-logs-tree-trunks-firewood-chainsaw-required_W0QQitemZ130244946229QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130244946229&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318 Do you think he dropped them himself? Or has some scoundrel said " If you want I'll leave you the wood so you can sell it, its very good firewood. I won't cut it up, as who ever buys it will want to cut it to their own size":sneaky2:
  4. LOL!!!!!!!!!!I'd love to see some hoodies try some thing when there are 20 plus hairy assed tree men about
  5. Thank you! My new found Best friend:001_tt1:
  6. Thats mine too! 18 years, married very young honest................. I'm only 38.
  7. You will still wreck your knee's with the best boots in the world, I never stamp my spikes in. I think the most dangerous part of YOUR job is carrying that huge CHIP on your shoulder.
  8. Nice one Dean, the fact that you were prepared to try and ID them has made one of them admit he was there. His solicitor will have told him he will get less if he admits before the parade. You could have said "oh theres no way I'll pick them out so I'll leave it" Just goes to show if people will do the right thing instead of taking the easy option it can lead to a result.
  9. My attitude has always be that if you are asking your self "is this an emergency", then its not emergency.
  10. Feel the luv!!!!!!!!! Nice one firewoodman!
  11. Just do your best Dean, could you ask to see them from behind, may just bring back some recollection. Is there any Chance the old boy could pick them out form some mug shots? Good luck mate!
  12. This IS networking! Since I joined Arbtalk, I have had 2 days work of people I had never met before, picked up some top tips and I like to think made some good friends

    Foresight

Yes I would always agree, bollocks on the branch is not the way to go!, but there not MY bollocks so I'm not that bothered. If he had been stood on the branch he could have let his bent knees take out the bounce,IMO.
  14. Reading that bit Dean brings tears to my eyes, followed by rage! My wife goes mad at me when I don't just let things go, when she heard about the knife in the guys car she went spare. But I believe that the more of us that don't look the other way the better. If a scrote thinks that there is ever a slight chance that some one will intervene they may think twice. Good on ya Dean!
  15. I was run into by an uninsured driver, he drove of so I chased his car and stopped it, took his keys of him, he legged and left me there waiting for the police with his car. Looked in his car and he had a carving knife in the foot well
  16. I do use a fork or crotch in the tree or the other end of my line for a second tip, but never a redirect.
  17. I'm with you Dean, I would rather act and take the consequences, than not act and have to live with my myself knowing I had not acted.
  18. No,no, did you not hear, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off, due to government cut backs
  19. Cheers Jason, not cut and paste, just my own tin pot theory, its a little simplistic for many. It always makes me smile when on the news you hear "hottest day since records began or wettest month since records began" then you discover records began in 1850 or some in 1600, on the grand scale of things that the blink of an eye. Even if we had records going back 20 or 30 thousand years we would not really know if it was a change, the weather may be on a 1 or 2 million year cycle for all we know.
  20. Give it to me Sean, I'll bin it for you
  21. Good point!!!!!!!!! The best place is to park MEWP's, IMHO, is at the hire center:001_tongue:
