  1. I had wondered about that, but I Ash splits so easily.
  2. Just speak to the commission, I have always found them helpful.
  3. If the chain had been tight I'd have had one!
  4. Special glasses that mean when the customer looks you in the eyes they fall under your power, and offer to pay twice the quoted price and come out every half hour with coffee, cake and bacon butt's??
  5. You need to get some good quality wood preservative, the sort you would use on sheds and fences, paint or spray it on the whole of the stump. You will need to reapply at least once per year. Hope that is of some help.
  6. Is it quite original looking?
  7. In all the dealings I have had with HMRCE re VAT they have always been very helpful. I once totally forgot about a VAT return, a very nice lady rang me to see if there was a problem, I apologized and explained I had forgotten, no problem she said just get it to us as soon as you can.
  8. That stinks Ian, are you insured??
  9. Liberal applications of wood preservative on a regular basis is the only thing you can do.
  10. Sounds like Ed's advice is the way to go.
  11. Unless you have a very well paying market for your chip, why would you chip cord wood? The main reason I chip is to reduce bash in size, cord wood takes no more room than chip and putting it in my trailer does not ware out my chipper.
  12. Just let me give MY side of the story first...........................................
  13. I don't understand how people can compare PL quotes without giving turnover Mine is dependent on turnover and if my estimate for the year is out I pay more or get some back.
  14. Just buy a new one and change it every 3 years, let others worry about rust and MOT's!!
  15. LOL!!!!!!!!!! Very good!!!!!
  16. I disagree! If a few use it, it will become recognized and then there will be two providers, and there is nothing like a little healthy competition to help drive down costs.
  17. The mog weighs 5 ton, chipper 1 ton, chip box 1 ton.
  18. Good to see you are still giving examples of encouraging posts.
  19. Yes, but with the chipper it weighs 7 ton empty, so would not be much use.
