  1. Correct!!!! All methods are open to human error, so accidents do and will always happen. But that does not make it unsafe. It really annoys me when some on here go on about how dangerous our job is, RUBBISH!!!!, the most dangerous thing I do each day is drive to and from site.

  6. My understanding of the working at hight regs is that you cannot carry out work from a ladder, (unless you are secured by other means as well, IE roped in) the only exemptions are window cleaning and painting.

One of the reasons I have the gear I go is that it gets me out the **** when I under estimate the amount of chip or timber, having a good groundie who doesn't moan when we have to work later to get done, is also a great help. Hope things look up real soon Matty, as I always say "if it wasn't for the rough the smooth would not feel so smooth":001_smile:
  11. Calm down!! He looked like he knew what he was doing, no one is asking you to do it. I think it was very interesting and a good demonstration of just how strong trees really are, one to show the guys who ask for a MEWP just because there is a cavity or some rot .
  12. Some, particularly the elderly are fearfully that we may come back for the money a second time claiming they had not paid, so a receipted bill if proof they have paid.
  13. Does any one make a tracker that you can monitor yourself?? Its OK having one, but what if the police or guys at the tracker Co don't move fast enough!! If I could get one fitted to my mog and if it went, I could track it myself, raise a posse and go retrieve it, now that would be great!!
  14. The back stem snaps of when it hits the deck?? The trunk hits the end of the stem on the deck and flips it???
  15. When I'm not sure if the palfinger will reach, then find it will!!!! Getting a call from the customer with the job you thought you had over priced, to say "when can you do it!!!

    Big mistake, IMO. What the competition going to do now?? next job they will go in even cheaper!! will you match that?????????? Before you know it you'll be paying the customer for the privilege of being able to work for them:thumbdown:
