  1. I'm confused??? You said your was "9+ feet at the base and 120 feet tall" which is VERY like gibbon's ??? I'm still waiting for the pic's
  2. I think WE are the ones who need to make the effort, in these modern times of mobile phones it ain't hard. (although mine went on the blink) Just PM the people you wish too met before the show and get their numbers simples
  3. Has it been modified to meet HSE requirements?
  4. CAN WE HAVE THE ITEM NUMBER SO WE CAN HAVE A LOOK:001_tongue:
  5. No,no,no,no,no!!!, what if they don't break it, BUT do abuse it:sneaky2: then it breaks when your using it
  6. Congratulations to you both!!!
  7. A throwing Axe. New lid. 2x toy stihl saws, much higher spec than the old one's. A chipper blade grinder of Bob. Plenty spent on booze and grub But the best thing I took away from the trip was some great memory's of time spent with some really top people swapping story's, exchanging experience and ideas, and best of all a real good laugh!! Thanks guys I had a ball.
  8. They are??????????? Could you please point me in the direction of where you found this information?? I know of not one accident which was caused by the tree failing due too it being climbed. I have heard of trees failing while being rigged, but the mistake was to rig, not to climb. Really do get sick of people who state facts with no evidence what so ever to back them up
  9. :confused1:So why has it not gone down in the last wind??? I get a bit sick of all this talk, lets have some pic's??
  10. Sorry but, I just don't find terms such as those below amusing
  11. I have no problem with people who say THEY don't want to climb a tree, I respect them. What I do not like is people telling ME what I can climb!. As for the post at the start of the thread, is there really any need for all the offensive insults?? If you don't like the way some one works, don't work with them. From the information we have, the only "common factor" in the situations described is..............the climber!!
  12. Yes it is a little depressing when you bust a gut and go the extra mile, but they are oblivious, but at least we sleep well in our beds
  13. I believe some of them also refer to tree's in poor condition as "unclimbable" But then said tree is climbed no problem by another climber I guess no one is perfect Whats the old saying about pots and kettles or people in glass houses
  14. Please don't take this the wrong way But why do you need some organisation to tell you your up too scratch?? My work speaks for its self. My customers are the people who's approval I seek, as they pay me, not the other way round. There are some sound reasons for becoming a AAAC, such as wishing to sell you Co. But for me, who has as much or more work than I can cope with and no desire to get any bigger, what would be the point??
  15. I take it you do mine, fair enough I have paid up too £6.5K in the past, the market is far more competitive now, I was with Lycet's, paying £1800 without tool cover, changed to NFU, now paying £800 with tool cover.
  16. They will go on and on and on, BUT if you want to maintain them properly they need a fair bit spending on them.
  17. Come on!!!, who are you trying to kid??
  18. I take it back!! We have 16 radiators:001_tongue:
  19. I think the poll result says it all.
  20. Your house must be bigger than mine, I don't have an office
  21. We have one of the old BT black hubs, about 5 years old, works great, often we have three lap tops on at once, no problem. Mine even works well in the garden.
