  1. Thats why I was advocating CHOICE!!!
  2. Thats because people KEEP saying soft wood is crap and often its sold wet.
  3. As I said weight for weight its all the same, a lighter log will burn a little quicker, big deal.
  4. I think you need to do a little research, so seem to no nothing about fuel wood, but are calling your customers "ignorant"
  5. YOU are wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wood is wood, weight for weight its all the same. Scandinavian country's are much colder than ours and they burn nothing but soft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. "the best" IYO, give the punters choice, let THEM decide whats "the best" for THEM.
  7. Must be a bigger tree than it looked in the pic's!!!!!!!
  8. Totally agree!!!!!!! Same goes for 0800 numbers, I get people trying to sell me one, I just say "if they don't want to pay the cost of a call, they are not a customer I want!!"
  9. Why on earth did you ring??????????????????? If he wants to speak to YOU he should ring YOU!!!!!!!!!!! I would have just said "if he wants to speak to me please ask him to call me".
  10. Fair enough, but thats not what I was told. I have FULL WRITTEN PLANING CONSENT for my boiler and I live in the smokeless zone. I was told so long as I burn "seasoned wood" I was fine. My brother lives in the same area as me.
  11. I've done it when hiabing BIG stems, a long piece hangs much nicer than short fat bits.
  12. DRY fire wood is a smokeless fuel. The only offense you can commit is to "make dark smoke". You are allowed to "make dark smoke" for one hour per day, to get the fire going. I would avoid burning any treated or painted wood.
  13. Why do you need a climber????????????????????????????????????????? Your using a MEWP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats like saying runner needed, to ride in taxi????????????????? :001_tt2:
  14. If your giving I'll have all you've got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Indeed, plantations are a crop, people get very sentimental about trees and some times they have a higher value standing, but most woodland trees were planted with the intention of felling them for timber.
  16. Saying sorry is not easy and I for one fully accept you apology. I had guessed you were pissed.
  17. This is normally the case, but these insurers will pay NOTHING!!, as my customer said to them, is he supposed to just live with the tree on his garage??
  18. The 192 is not a top handle, the 192 t is. If they don't make a rear handle model there is NO 192.
