  1. That is so ridiculous. This follows on from the Dianaification of our society, following the death of Diana we have competitive grieving. It's very depressing.
  2. It's a sad loss, feel for his loved ones, but to totally disrupt the entire BBC schedule on all channels is ridiculous. I find all this sycophantic, fawning, extremely nauseating, the MSM generally sneered at him and found fault while he was alive, but now he's dead he's a saint.
  3. Same reason some people smash up bus shelters I guess, just brain dead morons, unfortunately. I guess it's better than stabbing or gunning down strangers.
  4. I think this is one of the drawbacks of battery powered saws, they are very quiet, so draw very little attention.
  5. You buy 20 at a time, but missed an entire product period? What happened between the 020’s and 201’s ?
  6. Before the 201t was the 200t, the 020t was before that.
  7. General manage with 4, 3 are 200's and 2 are 300's. My son uses a rear handle 540i, so he uses one of the 300's.
  8. 540i and 5 batteries is all I use these days.
  9. I had a similar issue with a different saw, Dick Leigh fitted a spring inside the oil pipe. A sort of "stent", it appears the pipe was kinking and stopping the flow of oil.
  10. I run my Palfinger using a pump like the ones on trucks, normally driven by the back of the gearbox. I have an adaptor that connects it to the rear PTO on the mog. I've had the crane for 13years and only replaced the pump once and that was because the spline wore out, not due to the pump failing. I'm not sure if that's an option for you, I guess you would need to match the output of the pump to your cranes requirements.
  11. Pretty sure that was removed from the legislation some time ago.
  12. My first climbing gear was all second hand. I sold my pushbike and used the £200 I got to buy kit of a mate. There was a awful old Toll harness, Kline linesman’s gaffs and very stiff 3 strand, you could sort of push it up the tree above you, until enough got passed the branch that it bent back slowly towards you. Throwing it was pretty pointless.
  13. Triple strand was the work of the devil!! My first multi-plat was a gift from heaven!!
  14. Yeah, lying is defiantly the way to go 👍
  15. If they are selling large numbers at the current price, why would they reduce the price?
  16. But then all the redundant staff will start taking your work.
  17. My dad recons he saw a documentary in which Elon Musk put one in a car instead of the batteries, it increased the range and could be charged in 10minuets. He reckoned he was prevented from using them by the US government. This is all hearsay from my 79year old father.
  18. You are obviously a very clever chap. Maybe you can answer a question my dad keeps bringing up. Apparently capacitors are much better alternative to batteries, why are they not used?
  19. Yes, but if you don't want to move and can pay the mortgage, you are in a better position to negotiate terms, as the bank needs you to keep paying for them to ever get their money back. Whereas if your asset is worth more than the debt, if times get tough they can simply sell it from under you, take their cut and give you the change. I knew a farmer who had an annual overdraft of over £1M, the bank loved him, Christmas cards, visits from the manager etc. After foot and mouth he had several £1M's in the bank. The bank lost all interest in him.
  20. Someone once told me, "if your house is worth £100K and you owe the bank £50K, the bank has you by the balls, but if your house is worth £100K and you owe the bank £150K, you have the bank by the balls" 😬
  21. Sir, when a man is tired of climbing, he is tired of life.
  22. Yeah I'm doing the same, I'm gonna make loads, probably more than you, cause I'm not retired.
