  1. Its when it is part loaded that it will be dangerous (as the load sensor will not know its loaded, as the suspension is too stiff) and when fully loaded as it does not have brakes rated for the weight you are carrying. Stevie's truck would be a very good next move for you, IMO, very good value for money!!!!!!!!!
  2. :confused1:Its an awesome pic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice one Doug!!!!!!!!!
  3. By stiffening your suspension you will have stopped the brake adjuster, that increases your rear braking when loaded, from working. If you are involved in a serious accident and this is found to have contributed, you could be in very serious trouble
  4. That will be totally illegal!!!
  5. I think you are spot on there Sir!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Never had a problem parking my mog anywhere
  7. A 1600 or 1650 is the dogs, a 200HP 1600 is even better!! A 1200 or 1400 would also be good, but only 7.5t not 11t. Some of the 1250 are 10t. You can pull a 13t trailer with all the above,
  8. I think you guys are right, this fire wood bubble is going to burst!! The stove guys tell people fire wood if free or very cheap, its not!! it expensive, time consuming and dirty!!! I would not want to heat my home with indoor log burners, far too much work and mess. I have an out door boiler, burning wood I get for free.
  9. Generally speaking the even numbers are small chassis, IE 1000,1200,1400,1600. Odd numbers are large chassis, IE 1300,1500,1700,2100. But there are exceptions, 2400 is large, 1300L is small. Be very, very, very, very, VERY, careful buying a mog, my advice would be to speak to Alex Price. I would only buy one if you are working 6 days a week with your current gear and have more work coming in than you can cope with, so that a mog will mean you can do the equivalent of 8 or 9 day work with your current gear in 6 days with the mog.
  10. I'm not being funny, but I think you are confused, you have listed 2 large chassis mogs followed by a small chassis. Mine is a U1600 (small chassis) with a factory fitted 210HP engine which has been uprated to 245HP.
  11. So long as you are burning it on the site where it was cut you are fine, you can burn up to 10tonnes per day. You cannot move it to a different site and then burn it. I've done LA jobs where they have been happy for me to burn.
  12. :confused1:Which parts are "better built" ?????????? I have several 020's and 200's for spares and most of the parts are interchangeable and IMO "identical".
  13. I think you are getting confused by thinking chassis size limits HP. I have a 1600 with 245HP. The larger chassis models would be no use to me as I often go through 8' gates. The hubs and diffs on the bigger ones are better and harder warring. I would only go for a mog if you are going to be using a trailer, as thats the only way to make full use of it, imo.
  14. The new caps are ACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The oil cap has a small rectangle cut out of it, there is a corresponding rectangle cut out of the fill hole, just line up the two cut outs, push down firmly and turn, Simples!!! I think these caps are a good indicator of intellect, I have had groundies who really struggled to do them and to be honest the weren't much good at owt!! The ones who got the caps straight off were better all round!!! I would like a new 66 but won't buy one till they come with new caps.
  15. Do you think you'll be able to make enough through the winter to see you through the lean summer months??
  16. Totally agree!!! If they are like that when you are wanting to buy, how poor are they going to be if you have a warranty issue??????????????
  17. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People have given of their time and money to try and help a very good cause!!!!!! Clearly a clerical error has occurred (every one is human and makes mistakes!!) and your prize has not been sent. Why on earth could you not have done this by PM????????????????? Or if you felt you had to start a thread, could you not have made it polite and friendly?????????
  18. Billy I think you have rather an inconsiderate out look on things. Yes having children is a personal choice, but is those children's taxes that will pay for our pensions and health care when we are old and buggered. Years ago a working man would ask his boss for a pay rise upon the birth of a child, I don't see a problem with that.
  19. Not any more IME, the last 2 I've had have been fine.
  20. Thats list price, no one in the trade pays that, you should get at least 20% off that.
  21. I've not used a razor for about 18 years.
