  1. You could say the very same thing about our climbing lines, but most of us prefer an eye.
  2. Because he has his eye on some grant money to start a similar operation:sneaky2:
  3. You have a bit of something on your nose Tom:sneaky2:
  4. I cannot put a link to my web site as it would breach my cloak of anonymity:sneaky2: Plus my web site is rubbish:blushing:
  5. Exactly!! they are crap!!!, I tried one and then swapped it for a LOLLER inspection.
  6. Yes rough idea, tend to quote a little high if they sound picky.
  7. The big advantage of a per inch price is you can give a good estimate of cost over the phone, which means you don't waste your time visiting those you don't get. Small stumps are a nice little earner on the way home from a bigger job. I did a couple for a guy who was having some decking done and the job was being held up, I squeezed it onto the end of a day to help him out. Turns out he's the MD of a large firm and has a large factory site he wants sorting, loads of conifers and other stuff to take out.
  8. :confused1:But thats a good thing.
  9. You saying rent boys don't graft???????????????????????
  10. That pretty rubbish, BUT far better than any thing I could do. My wife and kids are ace at art, I am crap.
  11. Is a hitch kit?? Or is it the implementation of kit?? I would say the latter, neither the rope nor cord failed, it was the way they were used!!!
  12. skyhuck

    iveco 4x4

Do they have PTO's and linkage?????????????????????????
  13. Has this changed recently?? When I got done it was just a fine no points.
  14. Then have morning brew and off to the next job
  15. Peter will find out very soon just how true that is David!!! Well worth all the effort though!!!
  16. I have been going to give the VT a real try, but this incident and others I have heard have made me think I will give it a miss. I seems to me that you do need to have a more conservative climbing stile when using the VT, I use a prussic, I often go for a bit of a swing or sit back onto my line without tending my hitch, it would appear that such things would not be good on a VT.
  17. Have you any examples of kit failing?? In my 16+ years in the industry I can't think of one accident caused by equipment failure.
  18. If you kept your finger on the trigger and the saw at full revs you could easily cut you leg clean off, even with type C's. PPE will only stop a saw with a slowing chain with your finger off the trigger.
  19. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! You must be one of the happiest men on the planet just now!!!! Really, really pleased for you Peter!!!!!!
  20. I think thats what he was doing, but failed.
