  1. Not at all, because I do not "infect" my children with any belief structure they are free to look at things with a fairly unbiased eye and make up their minds
  2. It fascinates me the creationist use the complexity of life as an argument for god, saying its too well designed to have come about by chance. BUT, surely the creator must be even more complex and well designed, so where did he come from?? This is a serious question and I would love to get a better answer than the usual, "he's always been there" It seems creationists think evolutionists are crazy for saying something as complex as a tree had no creator, yet they believe the most complex thing in existence had no creator.
  3. As an ex-believer, I would try to enlighten people because, religion can and does ruin lives. I grew up knowing a lovely girl who was great with kids and loved baby's, she is now a missionary and had has put off having kids till "the new system" (the paradise JW's believe is coming) It breaks my heart when I think of all the joy she has missed out on. IMO, Dawkins is 100% right when he calls religion a "virus", I was infected and I remind my kids on a regular basis how lucky they are that me and my wife broke the chain and saved them from it.
  4. As apposed the the FACTS that prove god
  5. Good!!!, they add nothing to road safety any way, the figures used to support them are mostly fiddled. And the really dangerous drivers know they will get away with it because there are less traffic police because of the cameras.
  6. Another plus is I would imagine depreciation will be zero, you may even make money on one over time.
  7. Get one with a Porsche engine!!! You'll be there so quick it won't have time to over heat.
  8. Good point Josh, I like trees, but.................
  9. Sounds like a great plan to me!!!!! Go Mrs C!!!!!!!!
  10. Alcohol in moderation is good for you
  11. We need to start calling the Stihl caps "marmite caps" as you either love them or hate them. I love them and would replace my 66 with a new one tomorrow if they became available with the new caps. I have had a new ms200 every year for the last 5 years and several before that and have never had a cap break.
  12. Exactly!!! There could be less or no tax on the essentials and increasing tax on luxury's. How is it fair that those who work hard are taxed when they earn their money, are taxed again when they spend it. If your old and need care, if you have save or made investments, you have to pay for your own care with the money you have already payed tax on, but if you have not saved you get the care for free. I live in a large rented home with my wife and four children, I work hard to provide well for my family and get taxed on the money I earn, I could if I so wished quit work and get all my rent and other bills payed:confused1: its madness. When I see all the none workers around our town with all the time in the world and money in there pockets, I wonder if we the workers are fools!!!!! If I could just get rid of my pride and self respect my life could be so much easier.
  13. Thats not fair. I would put all tax on purchases, that we have CHOICE we can chose to buy the item and pay the tax, or not.
  14. You are welcome mate If that happens, just start thread titled " so and so you PM box is full":001_smile:
  15. That normally means the PM box of the person you are PMing is full.
  16. That is totally wrong!!!! But I must be honest, each time I hear this story I find my self laughing a little
  17. One saw for everything is no good. But I could manage just fine with two, 066 and 020. In fact I did for many years.
  18. If you use step cuts you can end up with more tension than you think, then when it does break free you can shock load the crane. Reg can see if the tension is right by watching the cut open as he cuts. I think the reason the legs lifted on this job was because of the reach, as Reg says they were working with a very limited lifting capacity due the amount of reach. I'm sure Reg will be along latter to give you more info.
  19. Step cuts are the last thing you want. The reason Reg can just makes a single cut is because he is a master of the art of getting the balance right when attaching the slings and he knows exactly what hes doing. Great work Reg
  20. WTF????? Are you for real????????????? That was great:thumbup:
  21. I saw that, seems it should called SLD over here.
  22. There is very little difference between them.
