  1. Great news!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to you both!!!!!
  2. Whats the reason for finishing the back cut with a slanted cut on the dog tooth?? I have only ever bored out the back or cut straight in from behind. I know farmers use a slanted back cut because the seem to think it lessens the chance of it falling backwards.
  3. Nice one Rich!!!! The glory is great!! But a new saw is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I think in ten years time we could well all be using battery powered saws.
  5. Yes, lower down the stem really speeds things up!!!
  6. If you set up a three to one pulley system, would you then end up with 60% stretch over the distance from tirfor to tree, as there would be 3x as much rope??
  7. Your not selling the timber, you are charging for the cost and time it takes to convert it. People buy tanks of oxygen, buts it all around us.
  8. I take it you burn coal or coke as well as wood?????
  9. Hehe!, I was thinking push bike, lovely peace and quiet I cycle camped round France as a lad:thumbup: But then I see from the pic's its a horrible noise death machine
  10. I thought the earliest possible date was 2018, but personally I can't see it happening.
  11. Communication, both written and verbal, is a very blunt attempt to transfer the thoughts from one persons mind into the mind of another. Is a wonder it ever works at all. This is clearly some sort of misunderstanding, lets hope all concerned can get back in touch and get it sorted!!!
  12. I heard he was looking for some one to go fishing with!!, it would be good to get him out the house, he just sits in watching Fred Dibnah vids all day.
  13. Any saw at full throttle will cut through pants.
  14. It will only stop a chain with your finger off the trigger. I guess they anticipate you not wanting to cut your foot off.
  15. I would not want steel core, but I guess most would, making the likes of me a very small market. You have been a real innovator Reg, in what must be a very difficult market place!!
  16. I've mentioned it to loads of suppliers over the years at various shows and no one seems interested.
  17. You misunderstand, I posted at the same time as you suggesting a flap. I would use plywood or alloy with hinges.
  18. I want a side strop (lanyard) that retracts like a seat belt.
