  1. Steve's right, there would very quickly be a conflict of interest.
  2. The TIP is not dictated by the employer, its down to the climber to chose one. Unlike this case where the scaffold or lack off it was down to the employer.
  3. I reckon in 200 years people will look back at the post WW2 generation as a one off Utopian people who have the great thing called retirement and a pension. Its just not sustainable.
  4. That cannot happen!!! If you have paid into a final for however many years they will receive that % of final salary and then get the new pension for the remainder of the years they pay in.
  5. People cannot retire and then live as long as they had worked and get an income from a pot into which they have paid very little. Its simple economics. When the retirement age of 65 first came in the average man lived to 65 and 8 months, so paying people for 8 months was not a problem, paying people for 35 years is. Where do these people think the money is going to come from?????????????????????
  6. Retractable spikes, put them on for every job, but only start using them when your high enough for the marks not to show.
  7. Never be afraid to comment, an opinion is something we are ALL entitled too
  8. One word "spikes". They do way more to the gallon.
  9. I took the pump and tank off my 400 and converted to run off the mog, made no difference to the running temp of mine.
  10. Should the rescue climber always be heavier than the guy in the tree?? Maybe we need some more legislation??
  11. I guess it will make a little difference, but not much.
  12. Do they not have link boxes round your way????????????????
  13. No, its the out side that will need cleaning, they get full of wood dust. Blow it out with a compressor. I've put some very fine SS mesh over mine, works a treat.
  14. There are no steep hills in Cornwall.
  15. No, you may need to clean you radiator.
  16. 8 to 12, less when working very hard.
  17. Most excellent!!! What was the second saw you used 361, 341 ??
  18. Yes, but I they don't really have a center diff. They are rear wheel drive, you first engage the front axel (2X2 like a landy) the engage the diff locks that gives true 4x4
  19. Real 4X4 all wheels turning!!
