IMO, its better to always use a rope thats twice as long as the tree is tall (well to your TIP) so you don't need a stopper knot and can always get down in a hurry if things go wrong

We need to remember that the saw manufactures are being pushed to make there saw more and more environmentally friendly, this has to come at a price. If the EU had had their way we would not have two stroke saws any more, so I guess we should be grateful for small mercies!!

Absolutly true Pete, but I can't see it ever changing. The problem is that the people at the top and the do gooders don't live amongst these people and cannot or will not believe that they choose not to work, they believe that every one wants to work but can't find a job .

Yes I've had that!! I also had a lad who worked with me for a fair while and then just did not come in and would not reply to my calls or text's, so I went round, I saw him inside but he would not come to the door So his mother came out and told me he was quitting because I was working him to death!!! "Its killing him" were her exact words

Years ago I got one in a vein in my forearm, it came up like and egg, I pulled it out and the blood spurted about 1M!!!!!!! But it soon stopped.
