  1. There was a spinal board there and trained paramedics!! All that was need was some one with the practical ability and balls to use what ever equipment was at hand to get her out, a great many of us on here wold have got that done!!! CTS, all that legal stuff is well and good, but in this country you end up in front of a guy in a wig and despite what people claim most of them are pretty sensible, thats why I asked for a real example of a prosecution. In reality if you are trying to do the right thing, for the right reasons, you will be fine.
  2. Please give a link to documentary evidence of such a real case. These accounts are often urban myths.
  3. Thats simply not true. But its claims like that stop people from even trying.
  4. Fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. The fact that some people are more concerned with getting into trouble than saving a life makes me very sad. Those who chose not to act should hang their heads in shame, I don't know how they can live with themselves.
  6. I looked at that ad too and was disappointed to not be able see a picture. Every other form of advertising costs, so I don't no why people won't spend the small cost to have listng with pic's??
  7. I like the fact that each ad gets a automatic mention on the forum, it keeps us informed of new ad's, it just a shame people don't pay and have a pic, it makes for a much better advert, IMV.
  8. Not sure why you are upset at having tidy up mess that you have made
  9. I've paid over the odds for things in charity auctions, it would a pretty poor show not to IMO.
  10. I've always had a need and then bought equipment to fill that need, I can't really imagine doing it the other way round personally. What parts of your business are most labour intensive and could a machine reduce the time taken???
  11. It can be moved by a registered haulier to a registered mill, with the bark on, any other movements the bark must be removed. As far as I know.
  12. How long is a piece of string??????????????????
  13. Not sure £500 a week is a bad wage round here.
  14. That was me. I don't think Gary Barlow is an idiot, he is far more successful than I am, so as it was modded from my original "T" word too "idiot", I then changed it to "muppet" as thats nearer to what I originally meant. Clearly my original word was a poor choice, for which I have apologized
  15. Seeing as there is a WTF smiley, it would seem silly for it to not be allowed. But now I know I bother some of you I will not use it in future
  16. Ain't that the truth, I guess its good to know what people really think of you Its lucky I don't think of life as a popularity contest
  17. The thing with WTF is that a child would not read it and know what it meant. Its difficult, all of this is very subjective and there are many gray areas. I think its pretty sad that people who give freely of their time to keep the site running smoothly are being accused of double standards, we can only try our best.
  18. I really don't think I'm an expert, I'm only speaking from my own experience (please see my signature) I've seen a lot of BB over the years and every one I have seen has been Sycamore. It could be a regional thing, different county's/areas of Britain may use different timber.
  19. I guess different words mean different things to different people. The "t" word to me is not offensive, I put that thread up after coming back from a meal out with my family, I had had a few beers and most of a bottle of wine, some maybe I did not have the clearest judgment. I really did not mean any offense and really hope people think there are double standards on here, because I really don't think thats true. Thats why the title was edited by another mod, just as any thread title would be. Steve works very hard to keep the site impartial.
  20. :confused1:You sure??????????????
